Pregnancy

The weight of these weeks, the way your body aches and shifts, the uncertainty over all that is happening within you, it is a heavy and vulnerable place. It is much like the final stretch of a long journey, when the road saps every reserve and the mind is flooded with things beyond your control. And yet the promise that God purposes for His own is peace. Not a flimsy peace built on everything going perfectly, but a deep, abiding peace that He offers. So I want you to hear this not as a distant hope, but as a comfort that can take hold of you right now.

The peace God gives is not like the world’s. The world’s peace often depends on outward calm, on every door being shut and every threat removed. But God’s peace comes from a different place entirely. It starts not in your circumstances but in your standing with Him. First, there is peace with God through Jesus Christ. He made that peace through the blood of His cross, ending the war in our hearts against Him. If you have laid hold of that, if your trust is in Him, then that peace is already your foundation. You are not fighting God; He is for you. And that reality is what opens the door to something even deeper, the peace of God, the thing that actually settles your heart when your mind starts to spin.

That inner peace is what the Scripture describes as perfect peace, the kind that keeps your heart and mind. Notice how it works: "Whose mind is stayed on Thee." The anxious heart finds its rest not by emptying itself, but by fixing itself on the Lord. When your thoughts drift toward the endless unknowns of the coming months, gently turn them back to Him. Not as a frantic effort, but as a quiet discipline. Look at the truths you know: He is the one who fashioned this child in secret, who knows every moment of that development, who once caused an unborn infant to leap for joy at the sound of His salvation. Nothing is hidden from Him. No detail of growth, no hormone surge, no cell division escapes His hand. As your mind stays on Him, He steadies you.

This is where strength and peace meet. The Lord gives strength to His people and blesses His people with peace. They are companions. You feel your own strength waning, and that very awareness is a gift, because it leads you to stop relying on yourself. Even the great men and women of faith in Scripture were brought low, confessing that no strength remained in them. And it was there, face down and depleted, that they heard the word: "Peace be unto you. Be strong." His strength comes in the place of our weakness, not on top of our own confident power. So confess your weakness to Him. Tell Him your mind is tired. He does not despise that. He draws near to the worn and the frightened and says, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Let these words settle over you like a covering. The baby grows, not because you are wringing your hands in perfect vigilance, but because God is at work. That doesn’t mean the anxiety vanishes all at once, but it does mean you have a real alternative to it. When the fear rises, point your heart to Him again. Trust that He carries both you and your child. He who guided the feet of His own into the way of peace will guide you, too. Grace leads to peace. Mercy sustains it. And as you look to Christ, you will find that quiet river, that perfect peace, keeping you strong through every week ahead.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting you and your precious little one in prayer these past days. It is our joy to stand in agreement with you before the Lord, asking Him to watch over every moment of this sacred journey.

Father, we continue to pray for the healthy growth and development of the baby within, that every cell and heartbeat would reflect Your perfect design. We ask for a safe and smooth pregnancy, free from complications, and for Your peace to guard your heart and mind as only You can. Strengthen you, dear sister, in both body and spirit, filling you with the assurance that You are never alone—God is carrying you both.

If you’ve seen His faithfulness in answered prayer, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. If the wait continues or new concerns arise, please share them again so we may persist in prayer alongside you. Either way, we stand with you, trusting in His timing and goodness.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort, and hope as you walk this journey of motherhood. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
