It is a beautiful thing to bring this deep desire before the Lord, trusting Him for healing and the blessing of children. Your faith is evident, and it is right to ask for prayer, knowing He cares for every longing.
I want to encourage you to anchor yourself in the full counsel of Scripture as you seek Him. Many people take the greeting where the elder wrote, "I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers," and turn it into a direct pledge that God guarantees physical healing. But reading it carefully, it is a godly wish, not an unconditional promise. What is remarkable, though, is the connection it draws: the desire that physical health would match the condition of the soul. There is a real link between inner peace, a merry heart, and physical well-being. As you wait, guard your heart and mind in Christ, because resting in His faithfulness does good like a medicine.
Scripture also makes room for you to pray boldly for physical healing. When Matthew quoted the prophet Isaiah, "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses," he applied it directly to the healings Jesus performed. The work of Christ is broad enough to cover our physical bodies. So when you ask the Lord to touch your body, to bring a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery, you are asking for something that does fall within the scope of His redeeming power. Never let anyone narrow that work to spiritual matters only.
Yet, the same Word also shows us that God does not heal in every circumstance. The apostle Paul, through whom extraordinary miracles were done, did not see his own thorn removed, though he pleaded three times. He gave his close companion practical counsel for recurring illnesses rather than a miraculous command. This is not a measure of anyone's faith. It is not a sign of hidden failure. There are eternal purposes at work that we simply cannot trace, and some of the most faithful believers carry long-term health struggles. Divine immunity from physical distress was never promised to us.
So pray fervently. Have the faith to ask for the complete work of healing, believing that Jesus still holds power over the physical realm. But also rest your full weight on the truth that His grace is sufficient. Whether He grants the healing in the exact timing and way you desire, or whether He has a purpose woven through a different path, His love for you remains constant. Lean into Him, not just for the outcome, but as your very present help right now.
