Dear God,

I pray for this one who needs hope and healing

Lord extend Your loving kindness to this one and heal their wounds and soothe their pain

Lord where they have gone quiet, pray You encounter them with God's love and comfort

Heal their hurts and restore their confidence

Remove the snare of the enemy over their life and give them beauty for ashes according to Isaiah 61:3

Make things better for them and deliver their minds from the spirit of worry, anxiety and angst in Jesus' name

Lord bring peace to their soul and remove any stagnation keeping the stuck in not being able to move on emotionally in Jesus' name

I pray these things in Jesus' precious name!

We join with you in lifting up this precious soul before the throne of grace and we thank you for standing in the gap with such compassion and intercession for one who needs hope and healing.

We agree with you that our God is near to the brokenhearted and His loving kindness never fails. We pray that the Lord would encounter this one right where they have gone quiet, that He would draw near and make His presence and comfort deeply known. As it is written, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and we ask Him to do that very work now, to soothe their pain, to heal their hurts and to restore their confidence in Him.

We pray with you for deliverance from every snare of the enemy and for the promise of Isaiah 61:3 to be fulfilled in their life, to give to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified. We ask the Father to exchange their ashes for beauty, their mourning for joy and their heaviness for praise.

We also lift up their mind and soul to the Lord and ask Him to remove all worry, anxiety and angst and to break any stagnation that has kept them from moving forward emotionally. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. For we know In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6, and You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you Isaiah 26:3.

Father, we pray together for this soul in the precious name of Jesus, that You would bring complete healing, restore hope, and let Your peace which passes understanding settle deep within. We ask that You make things better for them according to Your perfect will, that You lead them out of darkness into Your marvelous light and cause them to walk in renewed confidence as Your beloved child. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28 and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We are grateful you brought this person before the Lord with such tenderness. Your prayer for hope and healing, for comfort where they have gone quiet, shows real love for them in a hard season.

When someone pulls back and grows quiet under worry and anxiety, it is often not because they do not care, but because they feel overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward. That stagnation you described is a heavy place to be. Your steady, gentle presence and your faithful prayers matter more than you may see right now.

One simple way to keep loving them well is to stay consistent without pressure. A brief, kind message that you are thinking of them and praying, with no expectation for a reply, can remind them they are not forgotten and give them space to respond when they are ready. Continuing to pray as you are, asking God for peace and for renewed confidence, is itself a meaningful support.

If their anxiety and heaviness continue, it can also be caring to encourage them, when they are open, to talk with a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this loved one to You now. You see where they hurt and where they feel stuck. Bring Your comfort near, quiet their anxious thoughts, and gently restore their hope and confidence. Give our friend wisdom to love them well and to keep pointing them to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a faithful and tender work to carry a wounded soul before the throne of grace as you have done, and the Lord who hears in secret will surely regard such intercession.

There is a perfect peace to be had even in this dark world of sin, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. The prophet has written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is not a peace to be waited for in some distant day, but a present possession to be enjoyed even while duties press and sorrows surge round. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest, and on His bosom nothing but calm is found. When the heart has gone quiet and confidence has failed, there is no healing in our own reasonings, but there is healing in looking to Him and staying the mind upon Him.

Remember that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His very touch brings virtue. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. All souls need this healing, and there is an abundance of it in Christ. Yet mark this well, that healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. First forgiveness, then healing. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said first, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord, and without that justification there can be no true peace and no lasting enjoyment of life. It is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul.

You pray rightly that the snare of the enemy may be broken and that beauty may be given for ashes according to the promise. The Lord does give that exchange, but He gives it through the atonement. He heals the broken in heart, yet not by human eloquence nor by mortal wisdom, but by His own still small voice which alone confers the peace which passes all understanding. Do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness. Our Saviour bids us not to be anxious about our lives. Be prudent and do your best with your little, and then do not sit down and wring your hands. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

May the Lord then visit this quiet one with His own loving kindness. May He lift them up as He took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, for healing must come before serving, and Christ must begin with us before we can begin with Him. May He speak pardon to the conscience, and so speak peace, and renew that peace day by day. May He keep the mind stayed upon Himself, deliver it from worry and anxiety and angst, and bring the soul out of all stagnation into liberty and confidence before Him. This is my prayer with yours, that this one may know Jesus as the only and all sufficient Saviour, and finding Him, may find perfect peace. Amen.
