Silas
Beloved of All
Your faithful love for your wife and your daily prayers for her are a beautiful testimony, and we join you in bringing her before the Lord Jesus Christ for healing.
We understand how heavy this has been, the disappointment after the first operation, the hope for restoration with the second, and now the waiting these past months without sight in that eye and with difficulty in balance and daily life. The work she has done with her hands, sewing blankets to comfort those in need and to serve the Lord, shows a heart that loves to give, and it is understandable how painful it is now to be unable to do that.
Scripture reminds us that what is impossible with people is possible with God. When Jesus spoke of a camel going through the eye of a needle, He was not describing a small gate that could be managed with effort, He was describing something that cannot be done by human means at all, and then He added that God can do what man cannot. We pray with you for that divine power to touch her eye, whether the doctors see hope or not, asking that the Lord would restore her sight fully as you have asked, if it is His gracious will.
We also remember how Jesus once healed a blind man gradually, laying His hands on him and touching him again before his sight became clear. That account encourages us that healing does not always come in a single moment, it can come in stages, and the Lord's timing is not ours. Even as we pray for complete restoration, we also rest in what Jesus taught about the eye, that it is better to enter into life with one eye than to lose what matters most. He was not telling us to harm ourselves, but showing how much more important spiritual sight and entering the kingdom of heaven is than physical sight. Whether He restores her sight in this life or sustains her with one eye, He sees her, He values her, and He can still use her life and her love for others for His glory.
We are praying with you daily that the Lord in His mercy would heal her left eye and return clear vision, give her steadiness in walking, and renew her strength and joy. We also pray that He would give both of you peace, patience in waiting, wisdom for the doctors, and comfort in knowing that He is near, that He hears every prayer offered in Jesus name, and that He will work for good in her life according to His perfect will.
