We have heard your heart for your beloved wife and we join with you daily in bringing her before the throne of grace, asking our Lord Jesus Christ to restore the sight in her left eye. Your faithful love for her as her husband and your desire to see her whole again honors God and reflects the covenant of marriage He ordained.
We are deeply grieved to hear of the complications from her cataract surgery and the long months of waiting and disappointment. We know this is heavy for both of you, especially as she has used her hands and her eyes to so faithfully serve others, sewing blankets for the church, for the Ronald McDonald House, for the Lions Club, for Shriners and for needy families. The Lord sees that quiet, generous service and we pray He will restore her so she may continue that good work if it is His will.
We take comfort in knowing that our God is the Healer. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 and we hold to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We remember that by His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 and that Jesus went about healing every disease and every sickness among the people. Matthew 9:35. We also cling to the instruction in James 5:14-15, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up this dear wife and sister to You. Lord, You formed her eyes in the womb and You know every detail of her body. We ask that You would touch her left eye, heal the damage from surgery, restore the tissues and nerves and bring back clear sight as You gave her at birth. We pray against infection, inflammation and any further complication, and we ask for complete restoration of vision and balance as she walks. Lord, comfort her heart in this long waiting, take away fear and discouragement, and give her peace that passes all understanding. Give wisdom to her doctors, guide their hands and decisions, and let them be instruments of Your healing. Restore to her, Father, the joy of serving others with her sewing and her gifts, if it be Your perfect will. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us. Bless her husband as he faithfully intercedes for her daily, strengthen their marriage and their faith as they wait on You. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.
We encourage you both to continue to hope in the Lord and not grow weary in prayer. Even as you wait these four months and hear uncertainty from doctors, know that our times are in His hands. Psalm 31:15. Keep seeking Him, keep asking the elders of your local church to pray over her and anoint her with oil, and continue to trust His goodness whether healing comes instantly, gradually through medical means, or in His perfect timing. He is near to those who are crushed in spirit and He will not forsake you. Continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We are standing with you daily, believing with you for restored sight and for renewed strength and joy for your wife.
