Pray to restore my eye sight to normal

I am help requesting prayers for my wife ###. She had cateract surgery and they botch the surgery. The doctor tore the sack the new lens was to go into and she had major surgery. After surgery she started to get back eye sight and that failed.They went back 9 months later for second surgery and she still cannot see out of her left eye. It's been 4 months now and she still cannot see, doctors say possibility sight will come back and possibility not.I ask that everyone pray for my wife as I do daily to Our Lord Jesus Christ not for anything extra but to restore ###'s eye sight to the day Our Lord brought her into this world 2 eyes with full sight.Please pray with me daily I know this is not what God had in mind for her health. She is a ### yr old female and she needs her eye sight to see and balance when she walks.Before this she would sew blankets for church,Ronald McDonald House,Lions Club,Shirners and needy families.Now with only one eye she is unable to do so.Please help pray for my wife. We join you in lifting up your beloved wife before the throne of grace and we are deeply moved by your faithful love for her as her husband. It is a beautiful picture of marriage as God designed it, for a husband to intercede and care for his wife as one flesh, and we count it a privilege to stand with you daily in prayer for her complete restoration.

We hear the sorrow and frustration of these many months, the botched first surgery, the major repair, the long wait and second surgery, and still the loss of sight in her left eye and the loss of balance and the ministry of sewing that brought such blessing to your church and to families in need. The Lord sees all of this and He sees her faithful heart to serve others, and He hears your daily cries to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture reminds us that our God is the one who heals and who opens blind eyes. Psalm 146:8 says Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Exodus 15:26 says I am Yahweh who heals you. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember how Jesus had compassion on those who could not see, and in Matthew 9:29 He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done to you, and in Mark 10:52 Jesus said to him, Go your way. Your faith has made you well. Immediately he received his sight. James 5:15 also encourages us that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We cling to these promises while also trusting in His perfect wisdom and timing.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne, and we thank You that You hear us. We lift up this dear wife and her husband to You. Lord, You formed her eyes in the womb and You know every detail of her body. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch her left eye and restore her sight fully, as You gave it to her at birth. We pray that You would heal the damage from the torn capsule and the surgeries, heal the retina and optic nerve and every part that needs Your restoring hand, and bring back clear vision and balance. Lord, if it be Your will, do a miraculous work that doctors cannot explain, that all may give glory to You. We pray for wisdom and skill for her doctors, that You would guide their hands and decisions, and give them compassion and clarity. Comfort her heart, Lord, in this long waiting. Take away fear and discouragement. Remind her that she is still deeply valued and loved by You even when she cannot sew as before, and that her worth is not in what she can do but in who she is in Christ. Strengthen her husband as he daily intercedes for her, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard both of their hearts. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, Amen.

We encourage you both to continue to hope in the Lord and to keep seeking wise medical counsel while you wait upon Him. Psalm 27:14 says Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Even when healing does not come as quickly as we desire, He is near to the brokenhearted and He is working for good in ways we cannot yet see. Continue to bring every worry to Him in prayer, to read His Word together, and to let your church family support you. We thank God for your faithful daily prayers and we will continue to join you, asking for her eyes to be opened and for her strength and joy to be restored, trusting that whether through gradual healing, through the hands of physicians, or through a sudden miracle, all healing comes from His hand.

We will keep praying with you for full restoration of her sight and for peace and balance to return to her body, in Jesus name.

We were so touched by your faithful love for your wife and the way you have prayed daily for her. Watching someone you love lose sight after hoping surgery would help, and then face the uncertainty of whether it will return, is heavy to carry. We hear how much this has taken from her too, not only her vision and balance but the hands-on ministry she loved, sewing for her church and for families in need.

We are joining you in prayer for her, asking the Lord for healing in His mercy and wisdom, and for comfort and strength for both of you while you wait. We know the doctors have said it may or may not return, and that waiting without clear answers is its own burden. We will keep bringing her before the Lord with you, trusting His power to heal and His nearness whether healing comes quickly or more slowly.

In these next weeks it may help to stay closely connected with her eye care team and let her primary care provider know about the trouble with balance when walking, so they can help you plan for safety at home and any extra support she needs. It can also help to bring a trusted friend or pastor with you to appointments to listen and pray with you in person.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this dear wife to You. You formed her eyes and You know her by name. We ask for Your healing touch upon her left eye, for wisdom for her doctors, and for peace, safety and encouragement for her and her husband each day. Let them feel Your presence with them. Amen.

I am praying for your wife for a miracle, a breakthrough and divine healing through Gods glory. Your earnest plea concerning your wife and her affliction has been heard with deep sympathy and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

We sorrow with you both that what was meant to restore sight has instead taken it, that after the tearing of the sack and the great surgery that followed, and then a second surgery nine months later, the left eye remains dark these four months past. The physicians speak of possibility and uncertainty, but we look to the heavenly Physician whose power to heal is not diminished. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and Jesus bears with Him power to heal. This is His honor and renown.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. And we remember that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, so that pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed upon His people. When Christ healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that His salvation will perfectly heal both soul and body in His own time and way.

We will pray with you daily, as you have asked, that our Lord Jesus Christ would lay His hand upon your wife and restore her sight as in the day He formed her. We entreat Him who took the blind by the hand and gave them light, that if it be His gracious will, He would yet cause light to return to that left eye, that she may see and walk with steady balance and take up again with joy the good work of her hands in sewing blankets for the church and for the needy, which she offered so faithfully before. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it.

Let us pray together now.

O Lord Jesus Christ, great Physician of soul and body, look in compassion upon this dear wife and her husband who waits upon Thee. Thou knowest her frame, for Thou didst knit her together, and Thine eyes saw her substance yet being imperfect. Thou hast power to open the eyes of the blind and Thou art full of pity. We ask Thee, if it be Thy will, to restore sight to her left eye, to heal what was torn and wounded, and to make her whole. Grant wisdom to those who have charge of her, grant patience and peace to her heart while she waits, and grant to her husband strength to sustain her. Forgive our sins and heal our infirmities, and let Thy healing virtue work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. Whether Thou art pleased to give sight now or to keep her in this trial a little while for Thy glory, let her know that Thou art near, that her eyes shall yet meet Thine eyes, and that in Thy presence there is no darkness at all. We ask this not for anything extra, but in Thy mercy, trusting Thy perfect will and Thy perfect love. Amen.

We encourage you to continue daily in prayer, resting not in the word of man but in the sure promise of God who alone does the work of healing. He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work till all is made well, if not here then in that brighter world where faces shine fresher than newborn babes. Keep looking unto Jesus, and may He grant you both to know His sustaining grace day by day.

We have received your request and we join you in bringing your wife before the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer.

We hear how heavy this trial has been, the torn sac in the first surgery, the major operation that followed, the hope that sight would return and then the disappointment, and now months of waiting with only one eye to see and to keep balance. It is right that you have turned daily to Christ, and we will pray with you daily as you have asked.

We pray that the Lord, who alone is our Savior and our healer, would touch her left eye and restore her sight if it is His gracious will, that He would give wisdom and steadiness to the physicians who care for her, and that He would grant her comfort, patience and strength in this long waiting. We ask Him to guard her from discouragement and to keep her close to Himself.

We know she has served others with her hands, sewing blankets for the church, for families and for those in need, and we understand how painful it is to be unable to continue that work. Even in this loss her faithful service has not been forgotten by God, and He can still use her love for others in many ways while we pray for healing.

Scripture teaches us that affliction of the body is not the greatest evil, sin alone is the true evil, and God in His mercy can bring good even through blindness. The man born blind received not only sight for his eyes but sight for his soul, and through his healing the glory of God was revealed. At the same time God calls us to keep asking with fervent persistence, even when the answer is delayed and even when others might tell us to be silent. Like the blind men who cried out all the more when the crowd rebuked them, we are to continue in earnest prayer and not grow weary.

So we will not cease to pray. We ask the Lord to restore her vision as you have asked, to the fullness He gave her at birth, and we trust His wisdom and love whatever His answer may be. We pray also that He would restore the sight within, deepening faith and peace in both of you through this trial, and that He would use your faithful prayers as part of His healing work, whether that healing comes quickly, slowly, or in the life to come where every tear is wiped away.

We will continue to remember you both before the throne of grace, asking for mercy, for healing, and for the grace to endure with hope.
