praying for folks to take in and enjoy New Year's Day

This day Friday of the new year 2016 I am asking to pray people can enjoy and ponder any ideas and new year resolutions they might conceive then and seek to carry them out [not the evil kinds if ever there are any] and make it a great day and time to reflect and relax and see the error of their ways and then to seek God even more! Some maybe home still watching TV or watching a parade of some kind and it would be a nice enjoyable time and good communication with friends and family. And amen to this in Jesus' name!

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
