Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your loved ones at this important crossroads. I join you in bringing them before the Lord and asking for His clear guidance, protection and favor.
The Scripture gives us confidence that whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved and delivered. That promise stands for you and for those you love. When we call on Jesus, we find not only forgiveness through His blood which cleanses from all sin and abundantly pardons, but also present help and direction. God is faithful to keep His word. Not one word of His promises has failed, and His word will not return empty but will accomplish what He pleases in the lives of those who trust Him.
At a crossroads it can feel like walking as the blind, not knowing which way to turn. The Lord has promised to bring the blind by a way they did not know and to lead them in paths they have not known. You can ask Him to do that for your loved ones now, to make the next step plain whether that is to return to the university and complete their studies to graduation, to enter service, or to take another job. His perfect timing is trustworthy. He will hasten His purpose in His time, and even a small beginning in His will can become strong in His hands.
Pray with confidence that God watches over His people. He has said to fear not and to be glad and rejoice, for He will do great things. He is a God who pities His people and desires to satisfy them and not make them a reproach. He rejoices over His children with joy, He rests in His love, and He sings over them. He promises to gather those who sorrow and to undo what has afflicted them, and to give them a name and praise as He restores them.
So I pray with you that the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon you and upon your loved ones, giving wisdom for every decision. I pray He will protect you all, keep you in His care, and lead these dear ones to the place that is truly prosperous because it is in the center of His will, not simply what looks prosperous to the eye. If it is His will for them to return and finish their course at the university, may He open the doors and provide all that is needed to finish well. If He has another path of service, may He make that clear and give peace in following it. Above all, may each one seek first to know Jesus and to walk according to His loving and holy way.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, cause His favor to rest upon your household, and give you assurance that He who has begun a good work will be faithful to complete it. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
