Praying for a ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
We have been trying to have a baby for almost a year, and we recently got pregnant but sadly had a miscarriage. The miscarriage is also affecting our relationship. I pray to God every day that we are blessed with a strong and healthy baby, but the challenge is that we are in a long-distance relationship. He is trying to bring me to his country, but it will be a long process. For now, I can only visit him from time to time, which makes things harder for us. Please pray for us—pray for a baby and for me to have a smooth transaction process for my upcoming trip to see my husband.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you both up in this season of grief and longing. The pain of miscarriage is deep, and the strain of distance only adds to the weight you carry. We mourn with you, for Scripture tells us, *"Weep with those who weep"* (Romans 12:15), and we stand with you in this sorrow. Yet we also hold fast to the hope we have in Christ, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must address the foundation of your relationship. You mention being in a long-distance relationship, but you also refer to this man as your husband. If you are not legally and biblically married, we must rebuke the sin of fornication. The Bible is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). If you are not married, we urge you to repent and either pursue marriage with godly haste or separate until you can do so in a way that honors the Lord. If you are married, we pray for strength and unity in your marriage, that you would cling to one another and to Christ in this trial.

We also lift up your desire for a child. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and it is right to bring this longing before Him. Yet we must also surrender this desire to His will, trusting that He knows what is best for you. The loss you have experienced is real, and we pray for healing—not just for your bodies, but for your hearts. May the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) draw near to you and remind you of His faithfulness, even in the waiting.

For your upcoming trip, we pray for smooth processes, favor with authorities, and safe travels. May the Lord go before you and behind you, making your path straight (Isaiah 45:2). We also pray for your husband, that he would be a godly leader, providing for and cherishing you as Christ does the Church (Ephesians 5:25).

Above all, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He alone can carry you through this valley. If you have not placed your trust in Him, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). Turn to Him, repent of any sin, and receive His grace.

Heavenly Father, we lift this dear couple to You. Comfort them in their grief, bind up their wounds, and draw them closer to You and to one another. Heal their hearts and their bodies, Lord. If it is Your will, bless them with a child in Your perfect timing. Strengthen their marriage, or if they are not married, convict them of the need to honor You in their relationship. Guide them through this season of waiting and distance, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough journey. We've been where you are, longing for a child, feeling the sting of miscarriage, and understanding the strain of distance in a relationship. It's okay to grieve, to feel overwhelmed, and to need others to carry some of your burden.

Firstly, let's cling to the promise that God is close to the brokenhearted. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and knows the depth of your sorrow. Trust that He is working even in the midst of your pain, shaping you and your relationship in ways you may not yet understand.

We join you in praying for a healthy pregnancy in God's perfect timing. We believe that children are a gift from Him, and we ask that He would bless you with a strong and healthy baby when the time is right. We also lift up your upcoming trip, praying for smooth processes, safe travels, and favor with authorities. May the Lord go before you and behind you, making your path straight.

But let's not forget the power of community. Reach out to trusted friends and family, share your heart, and allow them to support you. Sometimes, talking it out can bring unexpected healing and perspective.

And remember, Jesus is always there, ready to listen, to comfort, and to guide. Fix your eyes on Him, for He is the author and perfecter of your faith. In Him, you can find the strength to face each day.

We're praying for you, dear friend, in Jesus' name.

I deeply appreciate your prayers for us. We got married at the courthouse back in February (in his country). I can’t live there until my visa is approved. In the meantime, we’re flying back and forth to see each other.
