Heavenly Father I desperately need a financial break through. I was laid off ### years ago and snce then we have had so many ups and downs. I got s job in ### and thought God had answered my prayers and this was my breakthrough but shortly after things fell apart and the company shut down. In ### I received another opportunity and I was sure his wad it however again the company shut down on Oct. ###, ###, Through these ups and downs I have spent all our retirement to keep things afloat. During this period my son was in college and I needed to support him to finish his education. I’m ### yrs old and my husband is ### additionally my ### year ild mother live with us. I have sold everything I could think of that has value and have nothing left but our home. My mom has dementia and the thought of up rooting them both breaks my heart and I don’t have the strength left to carry this burden. I pray for God’s will to give me a breakthrough but I’m feeling that is not his plan and I’m now completely lost. Please pray for the ### family to save our home and provide a miracle in Jesus name. God bless you all, Amen!

We hear the heaviness of your heart and we join with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name, lifting up you, your husband, your mother, and your whole household. We have read of the long road you have walked since being laid off, the hopes raised and then dashed when jobs you believed were answers ended with companies shutting down, the sacrifice of spending your retirement to keep your family afloat and to help your son finish his education, and now the painful place of having sold all you could and facing the possibility of losing your home while caring for your elderly mother with dementia. We weep with you and we pray for you, for we know this burden feels too heavy to carry any longer.

We want to remind you that God has not forgotten you, even when His plan feels hidden and His breakthrough feels delayed. His Word tells us to cast our cares on Him because He cares for us. Psalm 55:22 says Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. And 1 Pet 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We also cling to the promise in Phil 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matt 6:33 reminds us, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When we seek Him first, He sees our daily needs for shelter, provision, and strength.

We understand the fear that perhaps it is not God’s will to give you a breakthrough and the feeling of being completely lost. Please hear the truth that God’s will is always for your good, even when His timing and His methods are not what we expect. Jer 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Rom 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. What the enemy may intend for discouragement, God can use to deepen your dependence on Him and to display His faithfulness. Your faithful care for your husband in your marriage and your honoring of your mother in her frailty is precious in His sight, and He sees every sacrifice you have made in love.

We also want to encourage you not to carry this alone. God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 says, but He also provides help through His people. We encourage you to reach out to your local church family for godly counsel, practical help, and community support, and to seek wise stewardship counsel for the financial decisions ahead. Continue to be diligent to seek work as God opens doors, to steward what remains with prayer and wisdom, and to trust Him day by day for daily bread.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only hope and Savior. We lift up this dear sister and her family to You. You know every detail of their needs, their home, their finances, their weariness, and the care required for her mother. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and Your miraculous provision. Open doors of employment and provision that no man can shut, supply their needs according to Your riches in glory, and make a way to preserve their home if it is Your will. Give them strength when they have no strength left, peace that surpasses understanding, and renewed hope that You are working even now. Guard their hearts from despair and help them to feel Your presence carrying them. Provide wisdom for every decision and surround them with Your people who can bear this burden with them. We thank You that You are faithful and that You hear our prayers in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to keep holding fast to Him. Psalm 37:25 says I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. God has seen you through every up and down until now, and He will not forsake you now. Keep bringing your requests to Him daily, keep seeking His Kingdom first, and trust that He who has sustained you this far will continue to sustain you. We are standing with you and believing with you for God’s provision and peace to be made manifest in your home.

We were so moved reading your prayer. To have worked faithfully, seen two jobs you believed were answers close so quickly, spent down retirement to keep your household afloat and help your son finish college, and now be carrying care for your husband and your elderly mother with dementia while facing the possible loss of your home is an immense weight. It makes complete sense you feel exhausted and lost.

Please hear that you are not forgotten and you do not have to sort all of this alone. When housing, economic, and caregiving pressures come at once, it can help to have another trusted set of eyes to look at what is most urgent and what options may exist.

If you have not already, we gently encourage you to reach out soon for no cost, reputable help. A HUD approved housing counselor or nonprofit credit counseling agency can review your mortgage and budget with you confidentially, and many churches have benevolence or stewardship ministries that walk alongside families in this kind of season. For the daily care load, your local Area Agency on Aging can often connect you with respite and support resources for families caring for a parent with dementia. A pastor or trusted counselor can also be a steady place to talk through decisions.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. You see their weariness, their love for one another, and their need. Give them wisdom for each next step, provision for daily needs, strength for the caregiving hours, and Your peace as they look to You. Guide them to the right help and hold them close in Your care. Amen.

We have heard your cry and have carried it before the throne of grace, and we join you in prayer to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

You speak of a burden that has grown heavier year by year, of work lost and hopes disappointed, of retirement spent and treasures sold until nothing remains but the home that shelters you and your husband and your aged mother. To bear such a weight and to feel that strength is gone is a trial that many know, for every man shall bear his own burden, and there are burdens of this life that press sore upon the shoulders. Yet the Word also bids us bear ye one another's burdens, and so we would help you bear this burden in prayer, not as those who can remove it of themselves, but as those who point you to Him who can.

Our Lord Jesus says, My yoke is easy and My burden is light. He does not say that the burden of life itself is light, for indeed it is often very heavy. But when we come to Christ and learn of Him, He takes the crushing burden of sin and gives in its place His own yoke, which is easy because He bears it with us. Your greatest need, even above the keeping of your home, is that saving knowledge of Christ which is personal and spiritual, to know Christ and His Cross for yourself, not at second hand. It is to know Him as your own Saviour, who has piercing eyes to see you and swift feet to seek you and strong shoulders to bear you home.

Affliction, though it is painful, is often the black dog of the Good Shepherd that barks to fetch the sheep back to Him, lest we wander to our ruin. When trials come they whip us home to our heavenly Father. Therefore be not cast down as one who is forgotten. The Lord knows your age and your weariness, He sees your husband and your mother in her affliction, and He saw your labour to help your son through his education. Not a sparrow falls without your Father, and He knows what you have need of before you ask.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would provide for your daily bread and, if it be His will, preserve your home. We ask that He would open a door of honest provision for you, that He would give wisdom to those who might help you, and that He would give you strength for each day as it comes. Above all we pray that you may find rest unto your souls under the easy yoke of Christ, trusting not in uncertain riches but in the living God who gives us all things. May He keep your heart from despair and fix it upon His promises, that whether He grants the financial breakthrough you seek or sustains you through continued trial, you may be able to say, Thy will be done, and to prove His grace sufficient.

We will continue to bear this burden with you in prayer, asking God to show you His goodness in the land of the living, to comfort your household, and to supply your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. May you be given a clear sense of His presence, a quiet trust in His providence, and a renewed hope that your head is homeward and that He will bring you safely there. Amen.
