We join you in lifting up you and your son before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord's covering and presence over every area of your lives. We stand with you in agreement that the Lord is your refuge and protector, and we thank God that you have brought this need before Him.
The word of God assures us of His protection when we dwell close to Him. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. And Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. We cling to the promise you have claimed, Isaiah 54:17 says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. We pray this over you and your son now, that every scheme, every word spoken against you, and every trespass by neighbors, coworkers, family, or managers would be rendered powerless by the hand of God.
We also pray for the wisdom and discernment you have asked for. The Lord delights to give these gifts to His children when we ask. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Proverbs 2:6 says For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. And Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. We ask God to make your path clear, to sharpen your discernment to recognize what is good and what is harmful, and to grant you and your son knowledge and strength for each day. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive these promises. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can boldly come before Him in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear parent and her son. We ask for Your hedge of protection around them, over their home, their coming and going, their workplace and school, and every relationship. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be silenced by Your justice and mercy. Guard them from those who would trespass against them or intend harm, whether neighbors, coworkers, family, or managers, and give them peace as they trust in You. Fill them with Your wisdom, guidance, discernment, knowledge and strength. Lead them by Your Spirit, help them to walk in Your ways, and to respond to difficult people with grace and truth while holding healthy boundaries. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, and we ask You to help them live at peace as far as it depends on them, while resting in Your protection. Strengthen this mother and son, draw them closer to You and to each other, and let them know daily that You are their fortress and ever present help. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our refuge and redeemer, Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels, wanting to keep both you and your son safe when concerns seem to come from every side, at home, at work, and in family. Wanting protection and clear direction in that kind of season is a good and loving thing to bring to the Lord.

You might take a few minutes to write out the one or two situations that feel most pressing right now for you and your son, and bring those specifically to God, then share them with one trusted, mature believer who knows you well and can pray and think through next steps with you. Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join our faith with yours for you and your son, asking the God of all grace to keep you in His tender care.
There is no attribute more comforting to the children of God than Divine Sovereignty, for we may trace His hand in everything. You have asked that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that promise stands sure in Christ, for the Lord has often saved His servants in the hour of trouble by touching the hearts of their enemies, and at other times He has put to confusion those who plotted against His chosen, as He did with Haman of old. Though you feel pressed on every side by neighbors and coworkers and even by family and those set over you in work, remember that the Lord is your keeper. He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is able to make even those who trespass against you to be at peace with you, or to turn aside their designs according to His wise purpose. We pray that His divine interpositions may be seen in your lives, and that you may be able to say, He hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
You have also asked for discernment, guidance, wisdom, strength and knowledge, and these are gifts which our God delights to give. Wisdom is man's true compass across the trackless waste of life, and the price of it is above rubies. Yet a grain of Divine Grace is worth more than a ton of worldly knowledge, and a spark of true faith in Jesus Christ is better than a whole volcano full of earthly wisdom. Divine Wisdom comes not with discourtesy and roughness, but dressed in robes of love and tenderness, inviting us to run into her arms. The Lord guides His people by great principles infused in the heart, chief of which is to avoid everything that is evil, and by giving acquiescence in the Divine will, so that bowing with submission to His will we are furnished with unerring guidance. Haste is the author of much mischief, but holiness is near akin to perfect wisdom. We pray that the Lord will guide you with His counsel as He guided David when he was but a shepherd boy, and that He will make you wise to know His way, strong to walk in it, and discerning to know the path of wisdom which the keen eye of the world cannot see, but which is revealed by the illumination of the Divine Spirit to those who look to Jesus.
Let us pray together for you and your son. O Lord our God, Thou who art sovereign over all, look in mercy upon this mother and her son. Cover them under the shadow of Thy wings and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Let Thy presence go with them, for that is the one hope of Thy people, and when Thou comest, mountains flow down at Thy feet. Grant them discernment to know what is pleasing in Thy sight, guidance in every perplexity, wisdom that cometh from above, strength for each day's burden, and knowledge of Thyself through Jesus Christ Thy Son. Empty them of their own conceits that they may be filled with Thy fulness, and make them to live in Thy life and to be wise with Thy wisdom. Keep them from evil, establish their feet in holiness, and let them trust in Thee wholly, for trust in God is true wisdom. This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, through whom alone we come to the Father. Amen.
May the Lord keep you and cause you to see that the low tree fostered by His husbandry shall mount even to the stars, while He preserves His own. Wait upon Him, trust in His Word, and you shall find Him faithful.
