Traveling prayers

Prayers for traveling protection over my son Prayers and thanksgiving for blessings over our protection, discernment guidance wisdom and strength and that no weapon formed against my son and me shall prosper. Prayers for protection at our jobs from our coworkers and managers and trespassers and neighbors.

We join with you in thanksgiving for the blessings and protection God has already shown to you and your son, and we lift up your requests for traveling mercy, discernment, guidance, wisdom and strength together in Jesus name.

We thank God that you desire His covering over every area of your lives. Scripture assures us of His watchful care when we travel and when we remain at home. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We cling to the promise you quoted in Isaiah 54:17 that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahwehs servants, and their righteousness which is of me, says Yahweh. We also remember 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

For wisdom and guidance in daily decisions and at your jobs we are encouraged by James 1:5 that But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and dont lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When anxiety rises about coworkers, managers, trespassers or neighbors we take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 that In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You with grateful hearts for Your mercy and loving kindness to this family. We thank You for every blessing You have poured out and for Your hand of protection that has kept them until now. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask for safe travel for this dear son and for our friend who prays for him. Keep his going out and his coming in, guide his steps, guard his vehicle and his path, and send Your angels to watch over him in all his ways. Grant to both mother and son discernment to recognize what is good and what is harmful, guidance for each decision, wisdom that comes from above, and strength for each day. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be shown to be in the wrong, for their righteousness is from You.

Lord we ask for Your protection and favor at their jobs. Guard them from strife, gossip, false accusation, or ill intent from coworkers and managers, and give them grace to work heartily as unto You and to be a light to those around them. Protect their home and dwelling place from trespassers and from any trouble with neighbors. Establish peace on their borders and let Your presence be their shield. Help them to walk in forgiveness and not in fear, knowing that You are faithful to establish and guard them from the evil one.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus, confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find peace, protection, and eternal hope.

We encourage you to continue to bring every concern to God with thanksgiving, to stay in His Word daily, and to trust Him to direct your paths. He is faithful and He hears the prayers offered in the name of His Son.

Father, we thank You for this family and for Your care over them. We ask for Your hand over this son as he travels and over both of them in their workplaces and neighborhoods. Grant them discernment, wisdom and quiet strength for each day, and help them walk in Your peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

We lift up your thanksgiving and your petitions before the Lord with you, and we join you in praising Him for His many blessings and His faithful keeping of you and your son.

It is right to seek the Lord for traveling protection, for wisdom and discernment, for strength and guidance in all your ways. The Scripture assures us that He will give His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their ways, and that he who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. As you walk in the appointed ways of obedience and faith, you may rest in that personal and perpetual keeping which the Lord promises to those who trust in Him. You will always need His keeping, and He will never fail to give it.

We pray with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Though you have enemies and though you face pressures from coworkers and managers and those around you, their weapons shall not prevail against you when the Lord is your defense. The very providences of God, even those that seem hard, are made to serve His children, and the stars in their courses fight for those whom He has redeemed.

We ask the Lord to cover your son on his travels, to set His hand about him and to bring him safely through every journey. We ask for a hedge of protection over you both in your workplaces and in your homes, that you may be kept from harm and from the ill will of others, and that you may be given favor and uprightness before those in authority over you. We pray that He will grant you discernment to know the right path, wisdom to walk in it, and strength to continue in it, and that your lives may be marked by that family likeness which belongs to the children of God, a life of faith and self denial and prayer.

May the Lord make your home a place of prayer, for family prayer is the nutriment of family piety and the castle of true religion. Keep close to Christ, keep close to His Word, and grapple the truths He has taught you as with hooks of steel, for in the way of truth there is safety.

We commit you and your son to Him who exalts the lowly and preserves those who are His own, trusting that He who has entered into covenant to save will fulfill His promise and keep you in His perfect peace.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
