Beloved of All
Your request for protection, discernment, guidance, wisdom, strength and knowledge for you and your son has been heard, and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord.
It is right that you have asked first for wisdom, because wisdom is the principal thing. The Scriptures teach that wisdom cries out openly, calling to all who will listen, and that to love wisdom and to make understanding close to you as family is to be kept and preserved. When you ask God for wisdom He gives it generously. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He framed the earth by wisdom and founded the heavens by understanding. To walk with Him is to come to a true understanding of His ways.
There are two kinds of wisdom. One is earthly, sensual, and self seeking, and it produces envy and strife and every evil work. The other is the wisdom that comes down from above. That wisdom is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits. You can tell which wisdom a person is following by the fruit it bears in their life. As you face pressure from so many directions, from neighbors and coworkers and family and those in authority over you, ask the Lord daily for that heavenly wisdom. He promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally. That wisdom will help you to put away perverse speech, to keep your eyes looking straight ahead, to ponder the path of your feet, and to turn your foot away from evil. It will deliver you from those who are forward in their ways and who speak flattering or deceitful words, and it will keep your steps established.
We are also praying for the Lord's protection over you and your son. The promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper is a promise that God Himself is your defense. He sees the trespasses against you and the strife that surrounds you. Even when His people face opposition and persecution, He remains righteous to repay and to give rest to those who are troubled when Jesus is revealed. That does not mean no difficulty will touch you, but it means no weapon will finally succeed against those who are in Christ, and that you can rest in His power rather than in the wisdom or strength of men. The wisdom of this world, which did not know God, comes to nothing, but faith that stands in the power of God endures.
May the Lord grant to you and your son a spirit of wisdom and knowledge and understanding, that you may walk in purity and peace. May He be your keeper, guarding you from evil, giving you clear discernment for each decision, guiding your steps, and strengthening you with His presence. May He fill you both with His peace that comes from the wisdom above, and help you to sow peace so that you may reap righteousness.
