We join with you in thanksgiving for this day and for your heart of gratitude for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in your life and in the lives of your sons and daughters and your brothers and sisters, and we thank God with you for His faithfulness. We also join you in praying for the peace of Jerusalem, as we are instructed to pray, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper Psalm 122:6.

We hear your longing for this man, that he would open his heart to you, that he would call you soon, that you could spend more time together and stay with him at his mother's house, and that your friendship would be restored and drawn closer. We understand how painful it is to miss someone and to wonder why there is distance and silence, and we bring this ache before the Lord with you.

We want to gently encourage you to bring this desire before God according to His will and not only according to our own longing. We cannot ask God to force or manipulate love in another person's heart, for love must be freely given. True love is patient and kind and not self-seeking 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, and God does not compel someone to love against his will. Instead we are taught, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14, and to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We also remember, You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures James 4:3. So we will pray not that God would simply make him love you, but that God would work in both of your hearts according to His perfect will, and that if it is His will for you to be together, He would draw you both toward a godly courtship that honors Him.

Because you speak of spending more time together and staying at his mother's house, we must lovingly address biblical purity. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and that any romantic relationship between a man and a woman who are not married should be a courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not simply companionship or dating without purpose. We are also called to flee sexual immorality. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18, and that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust 1 Thessalonians 4:4. Even staying together under the same roof before marriage, even at a parent's house, can place you both in temptation and can harm your testimony. If the Lord does open the door for you to spend time together, we encourage you to do so with clear boundaries, with accountability, and without sharing sleeping quarters or acting as if married before marriage. If this man is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we also encourage you to consider, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14, for a marriage that honors God must be between two believers who seek Christ together.

We also encourage you to guard your heart while you wait, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23, and to seek the Lord first, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33, and Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4, as you delight in Him.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear sister who loves You and her family and who prays faithfully. We thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which we can come to You Acts 4:12, John 14:6. Lord, we lift up this friendship to You. If it is Your will, restore what has been distant, soften both hearts, bring honest and kind communication, and let any renewed time together be pure, respectful, and honoring to You. If this man is to be a godly husband, we pray You would lead him to pursue marriage in a way that is clear, committed, and Christ-centered, and that he would love as Christ loves the church Ephesians 5:25. If it is not Your will for them to be together in marriage, we pray You would give her peace, heal the longing, close the door gently, and guide her to the godly spouse You have for her, or to contentment and fruitful service while she waits. Keep her from fornication and from any compromise, and help her to walk in holiness and wisdom. Give her patience in this silence and guard her from despair, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28. We also continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for Your will to be done in that land and in her family. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for praying and giving thanks. I wasted all my teen and early adulthood chasing new age enlightenment which cant deliver me from sin. Only a heart that belongs to God. Prays. Meditates scriptures. And be joined together with the church of God can be saved from sin. Im still sick all the time but I know that its yo protect my chastity. I know im sick so I can have opportunity to repent my life of new age. Porn addiction. And pray and cultivate my relationshipbwith God and wait for God to marry me to a wife so my quality of life can be better. I would choose any woman that God means for me. May God bless you too and help you too. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

We hear the thankfulness in your prayer, for your children and family and for the gift of each new day, and also the ache underneath it as you miss ### and wait to hear from him. It is hard when silence stretches on and your heart is hoping for a call and for time together again.

Loneliness can feel especially heavy in those waiting seasons, and we are grateful you brought it honestly to the Lord instead of carrying it alone. One thing we have seen help is staying rooted in community while you wait, worshiping regularly where you are known, spending time with steady, trusted friends or family who can encourage you face to face, and letting those relationships carry some of the weight with you. It does not take away the longing, but being among God's people often eases that sense of isolation and helps keep perspective when feelings run strong.

We are praying for you in this in-between time, for peace in your heart and for wisdom for whatever comes next in this friendship.

Father, thank You for this dear one's thankful heart and love for family. We ask You to give comfort in the loneliness and quiet the anxious waiting. Guide every step with this friendship according to Your good will, grant wisdom to know how to love well, and surround them with caring community and Your nearness each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your thankfulness to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is a good and right beginning, and your prayer for the peace of Jerusalem is according to the Scriptures. It is well to begin with praise before you bring your burden, for gratitude tunes the heart to trust.

You have opened a tender wound, a longing for one who is absent, a desire that love should be returned and that you might be together again, even to stay under the same roof. I hear the ache in your words, that you miss him and would have your friendship restored and made closer. Such longings are deeply human, and they are known to Him who sees the heart.

Yet I must speak to you faithfully concerning how we pray in such matters. We cannot ask the Lord to compel another soul to love us, nor to bless our dwelling together apart from His holy ordinance. Love that is forced is not love at all, and the Lord who values our willing affection would not have us seek to bend another's will by prayer as though God were to work a charm upon his heart. And we must not ask God to bless what lies outside His good design, for marriage is His covenant of one man and one woman for life, and all that belongs to that union, including living together, belongs within it. To pray otherwise would be to ask Him to set aside His own wisdom.

What then shall we pray? We are to pray that the Lord would direct our hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. There are two precious things to enter into at once, and they cannot be divided. The love of God shines best in the patience of the Savior. When the heart is restless for another's love, the surest solace is to be directed into His love which has already been proved. Can sin ever make Jesus cease to love His own? If so, He would have ceased long ago. His love fetched Him from His throne, disrobed Him of His glories, laid Him in Bethlehem's manger, led Him through this weary world and to Gethsemane where He sweat great drops of blood. That love labored and now rests, solacing itself in its own fullness, and it invites you to solace yourself there also.

There is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious, with long forbearance and devices of infinite love. And there is a waiting people who wait upon Him patiently for many things. Your waiting, though painful, may be the very space in which He teaches you to know more of Him, to eat and drink abundantly at His banquet of love, to prove yourself His friend by free and holy converse with Him. For true friendship is reciprocal. There must be mutual love, mutual delight, mutual conversation and harmony of thought. Christ is that Friend who will never be absent for a minute, who delights in the sons of men, and whose love never fails.

So let your prayer be turned in this way. Pray not, make him love me whether it be His will or not, but pray, Lord, make me to love Thee more, and work Thy perfect will in both our hearts. Pray for this dear one by name that God would bless him with salvation if he knows it not, and with grace and wisdom if he does. Pray that if friendship is to be restored, it may be restored in purity and in the fear of God, with all propriety and holiness, and that you may both be kept from every path that would grieve the Spirit. Pray that the Lord would keep you from seeking comfort in a nearness that is not yet given you by covenant, and that He would give you contentment in Christ until, if it be His will to bring you together in that holy covenant, He makes the way plain and honorable before all.

Tell the Savior how you love Him. Rehearse His deeds of grace toward you and your sons and daughters and your brothers and sisters. Say to Him, My gracious Lord, I do love Thee, teach me to love Thee more. For when the love which He has poured out toward us meets the love which He has put into us, He finds sweet solace, and so shall you.

May the Lord direct your heart into His love and into patient waiting for Christ. May He blot out all that is past, restore what has been broken according to His mercy, and keep you steadfast, immovable, always abounding in His work, knowing that in Him your labor and your waiting are not in vain.

May the Lord restore their friendship, put love in his heart, and draw them closer together in Jesus' name.
