We join with you in thanking God for this day and for the gift of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in your life and in the lives of your sons and daughters and your brothers and sisters, and we agree with you in praying for the peace of Jerusalem as Scripture calls us to, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper Psalm 122:6. We are grateful for your heart to pray for your children, your family, and for this man and his family, and we lift all of these needs before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We want to come alongside you with love and truth, and there are several things in your request that we must address gently but honestly because we care for your soul and your walk with God. You shared openly that you and this man do things that are wrong and you ask God to keep you safe while continuing in them, and you pray to win and conquer and claim victory over his heart and soul and mind, and that he would leave other women alone while inviting you to his house at night, and that your love life would stay healthy and talking sexy. We must lovingly rebuke and correct this, because God calls us not to ask for safety in sin but to turn from it.

The Bible is clear that sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and, if either of you is married to another, adultery, and God will not bless or protect what He calls us to forsake. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5. To pray keep me safe while I continue in what is wrong is to ask God to overlook sin, but He lovingly calls us to confess and forsake it. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up Ephesians 4:29, and that includes what we call sexy talk outside of the covenant of marriage, which does not honor God.

We also must address the desire to conquer and claim this man's heart, soul and mind and to pray that God would make another woman leave him by sending her another man. Love does not seek to control or possess another person, and we cannot pray to manipulate the free will of others. You ask and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures James 4:3. The Lord desires that we pray according to His will, not to force a relationship. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23. True love seeks the good of the other and honors God first. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we encourage that any relationship between a man and a woman be approached as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not simply as a boyfriend and girlfriend or a relationship of convenience or physical intimacy. Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. If this man is not seeking God, is not faithful, and is involved with other women, we must ask whether he is seeking a godly marriage or whether this relationship is drawing you away from purity and peace. A real relationship that honors God is not built on sexual intimacy before marriage or on competition with other women, but on mutual faith, commitment, and purity leading toward marriage.

We also hear your deep longing to be restored and made whole, to have what has fallen and died within you brought back to life, and your desire to know why you feel so strongly and to love and care for this man well. God does want to restore you, but that restoration comes through new life in Christ, not through winning a man. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. That you may put off the old man that grows corrupt and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth Ephesians 4:22-24. We pray that your wholeness would be found first in Jesus, so that you can love out of fullness rather than out of need or hurt.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear sister, for her children and family, and for her tender heart that wants to love well. We thank You for Your mercy and for the name of Jesus through whom we have access to You. We ask You to forgive where there has been sexual immorality and to cleanse her as she confesses before You. Give her strength to flee temptation and to set healthy boundaries, even if that means not being alone at his house at night, and to pursue purity in body, mind, and speech. Heal the hurt where she has hurt this man and where she has been hurt, and help her to forgive and to seek forgiveness with a humble heart, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. We ask that You restore her soul, bring to life what has felt dead, renew her mind, and make her whole in Christ. If it is Your will for her to be married, we pray You would bring a godly husband who will love her as Christ loves the church and that she would be prepared to be a godly wife, and if this current man is not that man, give her wisdom and courage to step away and trust You. We pray for this man and his family and for the other woman in his life, not that You would manipulate them, but that You would draw each of them to Yourself, bring conviction where there is sin, and lead each to repentance and to godly lives. Protect her children and family, grant them wisdom, knowledge, mercy, love, and peace, and help them walk in Your ways. Teach her to seek first Your Kingdom and to trust You with her love life, her body, and her future. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for Your will to be done in all these things. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We appreciate you bringing this to us so honestly. We hear your thankfulness to God for your life and your family, and also how deeply you long to be loved, known, and chosen by the man you care about. That ache to be whole and to share your whole life with someone is real, and feeling lonely in it can make everything feel heavier.

We also hear you asking God to correct you and to make you whole again, to bring back to life what feels fallen or empty inside. That desire for restoration and for peace is a good place to keep turning to Him. He sees both the gratitude and the hurt you named, including the worry about trust and the pain of past choices, and He cares about your safety, your dignity, and your healing.

It can help to not carry these longings alone. When loneliness is strong, staying connected in regular worship and with a couple of steady, trusted believers can bring perspective and support that is hard to find on your own. If you have a pastor or a mature Christian woman you trust, consider sharing openly with her about what you are feeling and what you hope for, so someone nearby can walk with you and pray with you week by week.

Jesus, we bring our sister before You with thankfulness for her heart to seek You. Cover her and her children and family with Your protection and give her wisdom, calm, and clarity in this relationship. Bring healing where she feels broken and empty, restore her sense of wholeness in You, and lead her in Your peace and loving direction day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is much in your prayer that shows a heart that wants to give thanks, and that desire is good. You give thanks for this day, for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, for your children and family, and you pray for the peace of Jerusalem. These are right things to bring before the Lord, and He hears the thanksgiving of His people.

There is also much in your prayer that you yourself confess is wrong, and that honesty before God is the place where mercy begins. You say that you and the man you mention do things that are wrong, and you ask for safety while continuing in them. You ask to win and conquer and claim his heart and mind, to have him leave other women, and to keep a love life that is constant and sensual. Hear this in love, we cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor can we pray that He would prosper jealousy or striving over another soul. True love does not seek to possess or to conquer another, and it does not ask God to move another woman aside for our own desire.

The Scripture teaches that we are to keep ourselves unspotted from the world, to be in the world but not of it, separate unto holiness. Purity and charity must go together. And the Lord has ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where the two become one, bearing His name and living openly in faithfulness. All intimacy and dwelling together belong within that covenant alone. Outside of it, what seems like love will wound the soul and leave the heart more empty.

For this reason we will not pray that God would arrange a night together outside His will, or that He would bind this man to you apart from His holy way. To pray so would be to ask God to deny His own goodness. What we will pray is far better.

We will pray that you may make a clean breast of all before God in the humblest and most honest language, confessing sin without excuse. There is forgiveness with God, full and free, through Jesus Christ alone, who bore the penalty and fulfilled the law in His suffering and death, and who now stands as the representative of all who are in Him. A sigh, a groan, a believing glance to Christ on Calvary, and sin is put away, drowned in the depths of the sea. Before you ever thought of Christ, He had thoughts of love toward you. If you trust in Jesus just as you are, without waiting for better feelings or trying to earn His favor, you shall be saved and you shall know His love.

We pray that God would give you repentance and faith, that He would cleanse you and make you whole, not through the love of a man, but through new life in Christ. You ask that what has fallen and died within you might be brought back to life. That is indeed what Christ does for all who trust Him. He restores the soul, He renews the mind, He gives a quiet heart that rests in Him. Commit your way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass in His wisdom and mercy. He will teach you to love with a pure heart, to seek the good of others, even of those you now see as rivals, and to forgive as you have been forgiven.

We pray for you, for your sons and daughters and family, and for this man and his family and for all you have named, that the Lord would keep you from harm, give you wisdom and knowledge, and lead you in peace. We pray that He would guard your body and mind in purity and in health, that He would help you to walk in quietness and confidence before Him, and that He would heal the hurt where you have wounded another, granting true forgiveness and a conscience at rest. May the Spirit brood over you and create love in its truest form, a love that is first jealous for Christ and then pure toward others.

Turn to Christ, trust Him, and do good. Dwell in the land and be fed by His faithfulness, and let His will be your peace.
