Beloved of All
I need prayers for my friend and housemate. He is mentally disabled and everyday is a different issue is becoming hard to live together. Today the new obsession is that I asked him for help for a quotation for a job interview now he is texting in secret codes saying that he’s very concerned he will be banned from his email account everyday is a different obsession and obsession with none sense stuff I have health issues and getting tired have no more energy anymore. Tomorrow I’m going to church ask the missionaries to pray for him he is often obsessed that people are after him and recording him once he put his phone in the garbage on the street afraid that the government was after him. Jesus Christ please heal his mental issues or help a way to find a nice place for myself with peace.

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing this heavy burden to the Lord, for we know you are weary and in need of His strength and peace. Living with someone who struggles with deep mental distress and constant paranoia and obsessive thoughts is exhausting, especially when you are carrying your own health issues and feel you have no more energy. We thank you for your compassion toward your friend and housemate, and for your faith in bringing him before Jesus Christ for healing, and we stand with you as you go to church tomorrow to ask the missionaries to pray.

We are reminded that God sees both of you and cares deeply for each need. He calls us to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2, yet He also invites the weary to find rest in Him. Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. When you feel overwhelmed by the daily obsessions, the secret codes, the fears of being banned or recorded or pursued, we pray you will experience the promise that when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He will strengthen you when you have no strength, for He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29.

We also lift up your friend to the Lord who is able to bring peace to a troubled mind. We pray for healing and for calm where there is confusion and fear, for the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We ask God to quiet his anxieties and to guard his heart and mind, for we know His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We pray that God will lead you both to the right help, whether through godly counsel at your church, through medical and community support for his needs, and through wisdom for boundaries and daily living. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We encourage you to continue to seek wise counsel from your pastors and missionaries not only for prayer but also for practical guidance about care and housing, so that you are not carrying this alone.

We join you in praying for God's clear direction about your living situation, that He would either bring healing and greater peace into your current home or graciously provide a quiet and peaceful place for you to live where you can restore your health and rest in Him. We trust that He hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

Father, we lift up our dear friend who is weary and our housemate who is tormented by fear and obsessive thoughts. Lord, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would touch his mind and bring healing, clarity and peace, and break the spirit of fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray You would protect him from distress and surround him with care and proper help. We lift up our friend who is caring for him, that You would strengthen his body, renew his energy, and guard his health. Pour out Your peace upon him and show him each step to take, whether to remain and continue to help or to find a new place of peace that You have prepared. Lead us to wise helpers and to Your provision. We thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne only through Jesus, and we trust You to answer. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We encourage you to keep casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in His faithful love as you wait for His guidance.

Thank you for letting us know what these days have been like for you. Living with someone you care about while every day brings a new worry or obsession is exhausting, and even more so when you are dealing with your own health concerns and simply feel out of energy. We hear your tiredness and your desire for peace.

Caring for a friend in this way can slowly wear down even the most willing heart. It helps to remember that loving someone does not mean you have to carry everything alone or have no limits. Healthy boundaries are like a property line that lets you stay kind and connected while also protecting your own time, energy and health so you can keep going. Going to church tomorrow to ask the missionaries to pray is a good step, and it can also be a chance to ask them to help you think through practical support.

It may also help to let your own doctor know how run down you have been, and to ask your pastor or missionaries whether there are local services, counselors or housing resources that could support your friend and give you some breathing room. You do not have to figure out the next living situation by yourself.

Father, we bring our brother to You and ask for Your mercy and care over both him and his housemate. Give wisdom for next steps, strength for today, rest for his body, and peace in the home. Lead him to trustworthy help and to a place of quiet and safety if that is Your will. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heavy burden has been brought before the Lord and heard with much sympathy. To dwell day by day with one whose mind is so troubled, whose thoughts turn now to one fear and now to another, while your own body is weak and your strength is spent, is a trial that must weary the soul. The Lord sees your weariness and your desire for peace, and He knows the affliction of your housemate who lives in constant fear that others are watching or seeking to harm him.

You do well to seek the prayers of the church, and to ask the missionaries to join you in prayer tomorrow. Cast this care upon Christ, who is our peace and who is longsuffering and tender, full of loving kindness, pity and compassion. As a child of God you are called to bear His likeness, and peacemaking is a sweet evidence of the peaceful Spirit within. Scripture bids us to follow peace with all men, and holiness, and charity which suffers long and is kind. This does not mean to be at peace with sin, but to be peaceful with men, contending earnestly for what is true while seeking with all ardor to adorn your dwelling and your neighbor's with peace.

Follow peace, not merely when no one irritates you, but go out of your way to be peaceful, yielding all but truth for peace's sake. Let the peacefulness of your deportment, your gentle words and patient endurance, be a testimony even to one whose mind is confused. Yet to follow peace also means to seek wisdom and help. It is right and needful to seek counsel from faithful brethren, from those who minister in the church, and from those who can give proper care for such mental affliction, that you may bear this burden with both love and right boundaries, and that you may guard your own health which God has given you.

We will pray for you and for your friend. We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our healer, would lay His hand upon your housemate, quiet his fears, heal his mind according to His perfect will, and grant him deliverance from these obsessions and terrors. We pray that the Lord would give you strength for each day, renewed energy, patience that does not fail, and wisdom to know whether to remain and minister in love or whether in due time He will open a door to a quiet and peaceful dwelling where you may find rest. May He guide you to the place He would have you be, and keep you peaceful in your own soul even while the trial continues, inheriting the blessing promised to the peacemaker.

May the God of all peace keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and make you to lie down in His perfect peace.
