Beloved of All
I join you in thanking God for the gift of another day in this world and for your love for your son and daughter, your children, your family and friends. It is good that you want to bring them all before the Lord and to ask Him for righteousness, wisdom, love, mercy, truth, peace and the light of His Word as a lamp for your feet.
I pray with you that God will keep you and your children and your loved ones in His care, fill you with His righteousness and knowledge, guard your steps, and help you to cherish each moment together. May He give you peace with every step, cause you to be full of His Word, and anoint you by His Spirit so that you walk in His ways and do what is good in His sight, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and everlasting life.
Concerning those you feel have opposed you, I pray that God will protect you and deliver you from evil, and give you wisdom and grace to forgive. Scripture warns us not to pray against others out of vengeance, for that adds sin to sin. Christ has sat down at the right hand of God, expecting until His enemies are put under His feet, and He delays for the sake of those who will yet be brought to faith. Even His enemies in the gospel story, without intending it, bore witness to the truth that He died, was buried and rose again for our salvation. So I do not pray that others be shamed for our satisfaction, but that God would keep you safe, bring truth to light, and work in the hearts of all, that many would come to know His mercy.
Concerning the man you mentioned and your desire for friendship to become a serious, loving and peaceful relationship, I hear your longing to be respected, listened to, cherished and at peace together. That longing for faithful love is good, but true love seeks what is truly profitable and holy for the other person, not only what is desired in the moment. For that reason God has given the gift of intimate love to belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, where trust, openness and faithfulness can grow in safety. It would not be right to ask God to bless intimacy outside of that covenant, and it would not be loving to either of you to do so.
So I pray that God will give you clarity, calm and wisdom in this relationship. If this man truly loves you, may God lead you both to pursue what is honorable, respectful and pure, with honest conversation, mutual respect, patience and self control, seeking wise counsel and keeping yourselves pure as you discern whether God is leading you toward marriage. I do not pray that God would be put to the test by demanding a phone call today, but that His perfect will would be done and made clear to you. If this is not His will, I pray He will heal your heart and fill you with His glory, righteousness, truth, wisdom, knowledge, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, love and peace, so that you may forgive others and rest in Him.
You asked that your light would shine brightly and outshine false lights. The true light is Christ Himself. I pray that His light would shine in you and through you, so that others see that He is at work in you to bless, to pray and to protect, and that you would walk in His truth and not be led astray.
I will continue to pray that God fills you and your household with His goodness, keeps you in His peace, roots you in His Word, and leads you into everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Keep bringing every care to Him, remain in Scripture and in fellowship with faithful believers, and trust His timing and His goodness to lead you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
