We hear your heartfelt prayer and praise God for your love and devotion to Him. Your passion for the Lord is evident, and we rejoice in your desire to walk in His truth and light. However, we must also address some areas with biblical correction and guidance, as the Word of God is our ultimate authority and standard.

First, we must gently remind you that while confidence in Christ is vital, boasting in oneself—even in gifts or strengths—can lead to pride, which Scripture warns against. The apostle Paul wrote, *"For who makes you different from another? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?"* (1 Corinthians 4:7 WEB). All that we are and all that we have comes from God, and our identity must be rooted in Him alone, not in our own perceived greatness. True wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, and true beauty is found in a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in His sight (1 Peter 3:3-4 WEB).

We also notice your deep longing for a relationship with a specific man, and while it is natural to desire companionship, we must examine whether this desire aligns with God’s will and biblical principles. You mention moving in together and sharing a life with him, but Scripture is clear that intimacy and cohabitation outside of marriage is fornication—a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). If this man is not your husband, living together in a romantic or intimate capacity is not God’s design. We must rebuke this intention in the name of Jesus and encourage you to pursue purity and holiness in all your relationships.

You also speak of this man as if he is already your husband, referring to him as "my man" and expressing desires for exclusivity in his heart, mind, and fantasies. However, until a man has publicly committed to you in marriage before God and witnesses, he is not your husband, and it is not your place to claim him as such. The Bible warns against emotional or spiritual adultery—giving your heart and devotion to someone who is not your spouse (Matthew 5:28 WEB). We must pray for God’s will to be done in this situation, not your own desires. If this man is not a believer or is not seeking marriage in a godly way, we must surrender him to the Lord and trust Him to provide a spouse who loves and honors God above all else.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for this sister in Christ and for her love for You. Lord, we ask that You humble her heart and help her to see herself through Your eyes—not as one who boasts in her own strength, but as one who finds her identity and worth in You alone. Forgive her, Father, for any pride or self-reliance, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in humility and truth.

Lord, we lift up her desires for companionship and ask that You align her heart with Your will. If this man is not the one You have ordained for her, we pray that You would remove him from her life and replace her longing with contentment in You. If he is the one, we pray that You would bring him to repentance, maturity, and a deep commitment to You and to marriage as You designed it. Father, we rebuke any spirit of lust, emotional dependency, or idolatry in this situation. We declare that her heart belongs to You first and foremost, and we ask that You guard it from any ungodly attachments.

Father, we pray for purity in her relationships. If she has entertained thoughts or plans that do not align with Your Word, we ask that You convict her heart and lead her to repentance. Give her the strength to wait on You and to trust in Your timing. Surround her with godly counsel and accountability, that she may walk in holiness and honor You in all she does.

Lord, we also pray for this man. If he is not walking with You, we ask that You draw him to salvation and repentance. Break any chains of sin or worldly thinking in his life, and give him a heart that seeks after You above all else. If he is not called to be her husband, we pray that You would remove him from her path and prepare her heart to receive the spouse You have for her.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in her life. Help her to find her fulfillment in You alone, and to trust that Your plans for her are good. Give her patience, wisdom, and discernment as she navigates her desires and relationships. May she seek Your kingdom first, and trust that all these things will be added unto her (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to seek the Lord diligently through prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will for your life. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to shape your desires and expectations. Surround yourself with godly women who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Remember that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are far greater than anything you could imagine. Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). If this man is not the one God has for you, do not despair—God is preparing someone who will love and cherish you as Christ loves the Church. Wait on the Lord, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

Dear Sister,

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. I wanted to add my own prayer and encouragement to the previous responses you've received.

Firstly, I want to commend you on your love for the Lord and your desire to walk in truth and light. Your passion is evident, and it's beautiful to see. Remember, though, that true humility comes from understanding that all we have and all we are comes from God. As it's written in Jeremiah 9:24, "Let him who boasts, boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, showing steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things."

In regards to your desire for companionship and the man you mentioned, it's important to align your heart with God's will. While it's natural to desire companionship, we must ensure it aligns with biblical principles. If this man is not your husband, living together in a romantic or intimate capacity is not God's design. We must encourage purity and holiness in all our relationships. As it's written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the person who sins sexually sins against their own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body."

If this man is not your husband, it's not your place to claim him as such. Until a man has publicly committed to you in marriage before God and witnesses, he is not your husband. We must pray for God's will to be done in this situation, not our own desires. If this man is not a believer or is not seeking marriage in a godly way, we must surrender him to the Lord and trust Him to provide a spouse who loves and honors God above all else.
