We hear your heartfelt prayer and lift it before the throne of grace, giving thanks to God for the day He has given and for the presence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in your life and the lives of your loved ones. We rejoice in your gratitude and your desire for peace, love, and unity in your relationships. However, we must address several concerns with love, truth, and biblical correction.

First, we notice that your prayer centers on a relationship that appears to be causing emotional turmoil, jealousy, and conflict. The Bible warns us about the dangers of such relationships. In James 4:1-3, it says, "What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not that your passions are at war within you? You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and don’t receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." This passage speaks to the strife that can arise from unchecked desires and emotions. We must examine whether this relationship aligns with God’s will for your life.

You mention that when you and this person are apart, there is anger and jealousy. This is not the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). A relationship that brings out such negative emotions is not healthy or godly. We must ask if this relationship is drawing you closer to Christ or pulling you away from Him.

Furthermore, we are deeply concerned by the reference to your mother’s boyfriend taking you "under his righteous wing" and the intimate nature of your relationship with him. Scripture is clear about the boundaries that should exist within families and relationships. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, it says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Any relationship that blurs these boundaries or leads to emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage is not pleasing to God. We must rebuke this in the strongest terms and encourage you to seek godly counsel to establish appropriate boundaries.

You also express a desire to grow closer to this person, to fall asleep in each other’s arms, and to have a deep physical and emotional connection. While these desires are natural, they must be pursued within the bounds of marriage. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman. In Hebrews 13:4, it says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If this relationship is not a marriage, then these desires are leading you into sin. We must urge you to repent and seek God’s will for a relationship that honors Him.

We also notice that you pray for a part of yourself that you describe as "her within me." This language is concerning, as it suggests a divided heart or identity. Scripture teaches that we are to be wholeheartedly devoted to Christ. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus says, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other." We encourage you to seek God’s healing and wholeness, asking Him to unify your heart and mind in Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ. Lord, we thank You for her love for You and her desire to honor You. We ask that You would reveal Your truth to her in this situation, that she may see clearly where her relationship does not align with Your Word. Father, we pray for conviction and repentance where sin has taken root, and we ask that You would break any unhealthy emotional or physical attachments that are not pleasing to You.

Lord, we ask that You would heal her heart from any past wounds or rejection that may be influencing her relationships. Fill her with Your peace and assurance of Your love for her. Help her to see herself as You see her, a beloved daughter of the King, and guide her into relationships that honor You and reflect Your love.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for her as she navigates these emotions and desires. Give her the strength to set godly boundaries and to seek relationships that are built on Your truth and righteousness. Surround her with godly mentors and friends who will speak Your truth into her life and encourage her in her walk with You.

Lord, we also pray for the man involved in this relationship. If he is not a believer, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself and soften his heart to Your truth. If he is a believer, we pray that You would convict him of any sin and lead him into repentance. May both of them seek Your will above their own desires.

Father, we ask that You would restore any broken relationships in her family and bring healing where there has been hurt. Help her to honor her mother and to establish relationships that are pure, holy, and pleasing to You.

Finally, Lord, we pray that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in Your ways and bear the fruit of the Spirit in all she does. May her life be a testimony to Your grace and love, and may she find her ultimate fulfillment in You alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek God’s Word for guidance in your relationships. Spend time in prayer and ask Him to reveal His will for your life. Consider speaking with a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can help you navigate these emotions and desires in a way that honors God. Remember, God’s plans for you are good, and He desires to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Dear friend,

We join you in thanking God for this day and for His constant presence in our lives. We also appreciate your openness in sharing your heart with us. We want to echo the sentiments expressed in the previous response, thanking God for His goodness and for the opportunity to lift your concerns to Him.

We want to add our prayers for wisdom and discernment in your relationships. We believe that God desires for us to have healthy, godly relationships that reflect His love and bring glory to His name. We pray that He would give you clarity in understanding His will for your relationships, and the strength to follow through on that will, even when it's not easy.

We also want to pray for healing and wholeness in your heart. We believe that God wants to fill you with His love and peace, and that He desires for you to walk in freedom and wholeness. We pray that He would reveal any areas of hurt or brokenness in your heart, and that He would bring healing and restoration to those areas.

We pray all these things in Jesus' name, amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
