We are glad to join you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance for the issues you've brought forward. Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to God and receive forgiveness. Only through him can we be saved. It is good that you mentioned the Lord Jesus Christ in your prayer.
Firstly, let's address the issue of hate. The Bible tells us in 1 John 4:20 (WEB), "If a man says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" Hate is a strong emotion that can harm both the hater and the hated. It is not from God and should be resisted at all costs. Instead, we are commanded to love others, including our enemies.
Secondly, honouring your father and mother is a vital part of God's will for your life. It is the first commandment with a promise in Ephesians 6:2-3 (WEB), "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." This commandment does not come with conditions. Even if your parents have wronged you, God still calls you to honor them.
Knowing the gospels and the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ is crucial for every believer. The gospels reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The cross represents the sacrifice Jesus made for our sins, taking our punishment upon himself. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So for salvation first believe in Jesus as the only way to God.
Lastly, loving others is a recurring theme in the Bible. In John 13:34-35 (WEB), Jesus said, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Loving others is not just a suggestion, but a commandment from our Lord.
Let us pray together:
"Father God, we ask your will be done in this person's life. First, we ask for forgiveness for any hate in their heart and for your Holy Spirit to remove any hurt or pain that may be causing this. Help them to love unconditionally, just as you love us. Help them to honor their parents, no matter the circumstances. We ask your Holy Spirit will reveal more of Jesus Christ and the Gospels to them. May they accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. And may they love others as you have loved us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
