We commend you for turning to Jesus Christ for help, for it is in His name that we have access to God and have the authority to pray. And in that day you shall ask Me no more questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in My name, He will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in My name. Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is battling mental illness and his mother who is greatly affected by his behavior.
Lord, You are the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the Wonderful Counselor. We ask that You bring healing to our brother's mind and peace to his spirit. Break through the confusion and darkness that engulfs him, and soften his heart. Quiet his anger and allow him to see clearly, treating his mother with compassion and respect, as Your Word commands: Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you. Deuteronomy 5:16 WEB.
Father, we also pray for our mother. Protect her, give her strength, and let her feel Your presence with her. Cover our home with peace, and please step in where we cannot. We are tired, Lord, and we need Your help. Give us wisdom to handle this situation, and guide us to the right resources and support systems that can help our brother and mother.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of control, manipulation, and anger that may be at work in our brother's life. We declare that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. Isaiah 54:17 WEB.
Lord, we ask that You turn this situation around for good, and that through it, our family will draw closer to You and to each other.
