Dear God my name ### I like my job an I want keep it an pay my motel room an have positive attitude when I go to work

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart for your situation, lifting up your job and your need for stable housing. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His grace and mercy that we can present our requests. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, we lift up your job to the Lord, asking Him to grant you favor in the eyes of your employers and coworkers. May He strengthen you in your work and give you wisdom to perform your duties with excellence. We pray that He would open doors of opportunity for you to grow and advance in your position, and that He would provide for all your financial needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Lord, we ask that You would help our brother/sister to maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of challenges, and to be a light for You in the workplace.

Father, we also bring before You the need for stable housing. We ask that You would provide a way for our brother/sister to secure a safe and affordable place to live. We pray that You would meet this need according to Your will and timing, and that You would give them peace and contentment in the midst of this uncertainty. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are their provider and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also ask that You would help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). May they find their ultimate security and satisfaction in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your request this morning, and we want you to know you’re not alone in this. The weight of wondering if you’ll keep your job and hold on to your motel room is real, and so is the courage it takes to reach out for prayer.

When job security feels shaky, it’s easy to start feeling like our worth is tied to a paycheck or a room key. That’s a heavy pressure, but it’s not the whole truth. You are more than your job, and your value doesn’t rise or fall with a schedule change or a manager’s mood. We see you trying to bring a positive attitude to work even when you’re anxious, and that alone says something good about the kind of person you are.

A practical step that often helps when housing and income are on the line is to get clear on what’s immediately pressing. If you haven’t already, you might have a gentle conversation with the motel manager about your situation, sometimes there’s a bit of flexibility, and simply knowing where you stand can settle your nerves. At the same time, consider talking to a pastor or a mature friend at church. You don’t have to carry this on your own; just letting someone else in can lift some of the fear.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that fear of losing what matters can actually make us forget the strengths we already have. You like your job, that’s a gift. You want to do it with a good attitude, that’s a choice you can make each morning, even when things feel uncertain. So we’re praying now, not with empty words, but with confidence that God sees your need.

Lord Jesus, you know this situation inside and out. You see the pressure of making ends meet and the hope of keeping a job and a place to call home. Please steady our friend’s heart, quiet the fear, and give wisdom for the next right step. Provide the resources and favor needed to stay in this motel room, and help a positive, honest attitude take root each workday. We trust you to lead the way. Amen.

A trembling heart before God is no small thing, yet let it be mixed with faith. You fear losing your job and your shelter, and these cares press heavily. But remember, all earthly stays may be shaken; our true stability lies elsewhere. Lay up treasure where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and seek that glory which is fresh in God alone. You want to keep your job, an honest desire, but let your first care be to keep right with God. In all your trial, sin not by unbelieving speeches, nor charge God foolishly. He who upheld Job when all was stripped away can support you in this hour.

Yet check your heart. Is your prayer only for bread and a roof? Job’s friends spoke harshly, but his own restoration came when he prayed for them. The Lord turned his captivity when he interceded for others. So while you cry out for your motel room and your wages, stretch your supplications wider. Weep with those who weep, even in your own need. A charity of the heart, grieving for the poor, the widow, the fatherless, will sweeten your own spirit. That positive attitude you seek will not be pumped up by mere resolve, but will flow from a soul that casts its burden on the Lord and then looks outward to serve.

And remember the end Job saw. Sorrows have a close; the night does not hang forever. But when God turns our captivity, the purpose is that Satan be foiled and that we might know Him more vividly. You may yet testify, “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.” That is greater than any paycheck. Trust Him though He slay you. If you can cling to a slaying God, you have more true dignity than ease could ever give. The bow of faith, often used, grows slack, but He can renew it with fresh oil. Go to your work, not as one merely earning a room, but as one who has fallen down and worshipped, saying “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Then, whether you keep much or little, you will not sin with your lips.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You seek security in your job and your motel room, but examine what true security is. You say you want to keep these things because they put you in honor and in security. But poverty is not like this, but altogether the contrary. It is a place of refuge and security, a calm harbor, a wrestling ground, and school of exercise to learn self-command, an imitation of the life of angels. If it is for security that these things are desired, then not having them brings you closer to the security you seek.

If you are in Christ, you enter the pasture of His care and shall be in safety and security, and none shall thrust you out. This took place in the case of the Apostles, who came in and went out securely, and none was able to cast them out. Your room may be taken, your job lost, but if you belong to Him, no one can thrust you from His keeping. This is great glory, the being able even after death to do greater things than before death.

You ask also for a positive attitude when you go to work. For this He roused the dejected thoughts of the disciples, persuading them not only not to despond, but even to rejoice. Let this mind be in you. Your work itself, if done as unto Him, is the virtuous path. Is it more difficult to attend to your daily task in full enjoyment of safety, or to wander in the dark with fear? You see then that virtue is according to nature, and vice against nature, as health and disease are.

Do not think that a man sins the same in the enjoyment of security and ease as in a state of great affliction. Your present trouble may be the very fire that proves your work of what sort it is. If you build with gold and silver of faith and patience, your work will abide and you will receive a reward. Lay aside the desire that makes you cling to things as your source of safety. Seek first His kingdom, and the true security that cannot be taken away.

Please pray and stand in agreement with me that I am able to keep my job. There was a mistake made. It’s been discovered that it’s not my fault but I am still uneasy. Please let me keep my job and give me peace, in Jesus name.
