Prayers for keeping my job

Preolmont

Disciple of Prayer
I have been physically and mentally unwell for almost a year now and for the past 4 months, it has been really bad. I'm going through perimenopause on top of a lot of stress and carrying everything on my own as a widowed mother. I know that I have not been in the word the way that I should, but I need God to work in my favor. I've had to miss work for about 3 weeks, none of my paperwork has went through for my Ada which means my job was not under protection. My manager nor my operations manager has reached back out to me and I have sent emails and called explaining. I am going tomorrow to get it fixed with my doctor. I cannot lose my job. I pray the Lord give me favoritism in my superiors eyes and he give my body and my mind the strength to go and prove my value to them. Please keep me in your prayers. My finances, my health, my job and my home. Thank you so much.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate this season of immense physical, emotional, and spiritual challenge. The weight you carry as a widowed mother, the strain of perimenopause, and the stress of financial stability are not lost on us, nor are they lost on our Heavenly Father. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and knows the depths of your weariness. We stand with you, declaring that the Lord is your strength, your provider, and your defender.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith, our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that you would draw near to Him, even in your exhaustion, for He promises, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Your struggle with staying in the Word is understandable, but we encourage you to cling to even small moments with Him. The Psalmist reminds us, "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). He is not far from you, even when you feel distant.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy would love nothing more than to see you paralyzed by worry, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that your mind and body will be strengthened by the Lord’s might. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). We pray for supernatural endurance as you prepare to return to work, that your presence and work would be a testimony to God’s faithfulness.

We also lift up your job situation with urgency. The lack of response from your superiors is concerning, but we trust that the Lord is working behind the scenes. We pray for favor in their eyes, that they would see your dedication, your value, and your need for grace. "For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly" (Psalm 84:11). We ask that the Lord would soften their hearts and open doors for your paperwork to be processed swiftly. We rebuke any spirit of delay or injustice in this situation and declare that God’s timing and provision will prevail.

Regarding your health, we pray for divine healing and restoration. Perimenopause and chronic stress can take a toll, but we serve a God who heals. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). We ask that your doctor’s visit tomorrow would be fruitful, that your paperwork would be completed accurately, and that your body would respond to the care you are seeking. We also encourage you to seek out godly community, whether through a local church, support group, or trusted believers, who can come alongside you in this season. You were not meant to carry this burden alone.

Financially, we stand on the promise that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom in managing your resources and for unexpected provision if needed. Your home is under the protection of the Lord, and we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare abundance in Jesus’ name.

Lastly, we want to gently address the mention of "favoritism" in your prayer. While we understand the desire for grace from your superiors, we encourage you to seek God’s favor above all else. His favor is not based on partiality but on His righteousness and love for you. "For Yahweh sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7). Trust that He will work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear.

We pray now with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her up in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You see her weariness, her pain, and her fear. You know the weight she carries as a mother, a provider, and a woman of faith. We ask that You would pour out Your grace upon her, strengthening her body, mind, and spirit. Give her favor with her superiors, Lord, and let Your peace guard her heart as she navigates this challenging season.

We declare healing over her body, restoration to her soul, and provision for her every need. Father, we ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and soften hearts that seem hardened. Let her paperwork be processed swiftly, and let her return to work be met with understanding and grace. We rebuke every spirit of delay, fear, and lack, and we declare that Your promises over her life will come to pass.

Lord, draw her closer to You in this time. Let her find rest in Your presence and strength in Your Word. Surround her with godly community who can support and uplift her. We trust that You are working all things together for her good, and we thank You for Your faithfulness.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in this. We can only imagine how heavy these months have been, grieving your husband, parenting alone, battling your own body while trying to hold onto your job. That’s an enormous load, and the fact that you’re still showing up, still fighting for your paperwork, still reaching out for prayer says something about the grit God has placed in you.

It’s deeply unsettling when the people who hold your job security go silent. We’re so sorry you’ve been left hanging like that, especially when you’ve been responsible and communicated clearly. You’re doing the right thing by going to your doctor tomorrow to get the documentation straightened out. We’re praying that appointment goes smoothly and that the paperwork finally moves. After that visit, if you haven’t already, it might help to ask a trusted friend, someone from church, a neighbor, or a family member, to help you follow up with your workplace. You’ve been carrying so much alone, and it’s not weakness to let someone else make a phone call or sit with you while you sort through the emails. You weren’t meant to shoulder it all by yourself.

With chronic illness, it’s easy to feel fragile and afraid, like every small setback means the whole house is caving in. Slow, steady progress can be hard to see when you’re exhausted. But you are not forgotten. The same Lord who has sustained you as a widow and mother walks with you into that doctor’s office and into every conversation with your supervisors.

Let’s pray together now and just leave it in His hands.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our sister to You. You see her body, her mind, her finances, her home, every detail. Please steady her tomorrow, give her clarity with the doctor, and open the right doors for her job to be protected. Grant her favor, not because she deserves it more than anyone else, but because You are merciful and You love her. Bring the right people alongside her to lighten the load. And above all, wrap her in Your peace tonight so she can rest. We ask all this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Thank you so much for that prayer. It means more to me than anyone will ever know. I have struggled so much and I'm just so tired. I'm trying not to be but I am. I have swayed from the Lord, I feel broken and lost. So thank you so very much for those words, for that prayer. I am forever grateful to the Lord and his people.

Thank you for taking the time. For petitioning for me. May God bless you always.

I just wanted to reach back out and say thank you to everyone that prayed for me in the situation. About 15 minutes ago my manager reached out and called me. He was completely understanding and he told me that there was no reason for me to worry. My job was still there and that he would see me Wednesday. He let me know that he would be leaving half a day Wednesday and then if I needed him for anything all I had to do is text him. I know this was God. I also know that everyone that petitioned for me, God heard you on my behalf. So I want to thank all of you. I appreciate if you would continue to say just a little prior for my health physically mentally and also for my walk with God. Again, thank you and may God bless each and everyone of you.
