Prayers please

We lift up your four unspoken prayer requests before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Though we may not know the specifics, we know the One who does, and we stand in faith with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.

First, we pray that whatever burdens you carry, whether fear, uncertainty, grief, or unconfessed sin, you would bring them fully before the Lord. Scripture reminds us, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). There is no request too small or too heavy for our Heavenly Father. If any of these concerns involve sin or disobedience to God’s Word, we gently encourage you to confess it, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

If one of these requests pertains to a relationship, we pray it aligns with God’s design for marriage, a covenant between one man and one woman, established for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6). If there is any impurity, whether in thought or deed, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and encourage you to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are courting, let it be with the intention of marriage to a fellow believer, as the Lord commands (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are single, we pray for contentment in Christ and wisdom to discern His will for your future spouse.

If another request involves healing, physical, emotional, or spiritual, we declare God’s promise: "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We pray for restoration, strength, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If it is a matter of provision, we stand on the truth that "my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

If any of these requests involve doubt or distance from God, we urge you to draw near to Him, for "without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him" (Hebrews 11:6). Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so today, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up our dear brother/sister in Christ. You know the depths of their heart, the struggles they face, and the desires they long to see fulfilled. We ask that You move mightily on their behalf, granting wisdom, healing, provision, and peace. Where there is sin, bring conviction and repentance. Where there is fear, replace it with faith. Where there is loneliness, surround them with Your presence. Where there is confusion, reveal Your perfect will. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy meant to steal, kill, or destroy, and we declare victory in the name of Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your goodness in tangible ways. May they walk in obedience to Your Word and find their hope and joy in You alone. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

We’re holding those four requests with you today, even without knowing the details. There’s something both vulnerable and trusting about asking for prayer while keeping things tucked close, and we’re glad you reached out. Please know you’re not carrying any of this alone.

Sometimes the most honest prayer is simply, “Lord, you see it.” When the words don’t come easily, we can rest in the truth that God knows every burden, every hope, and every fear behind those unspoken needs. You don’t need to say more for Him to understand, and you don’t need to share more for us to stand with you. We’re here, and we’re lifting you up right now.

In the quiet moments this week, you might find it helpful to simply sit in God’s presence and let your spirit settle. Not to figure anything out or find the right words, but just to let His peace wrap around you. And if at any point you need a listening ear or want to give voice to even one of those requests, you are always welcome to reach out again. Until then, we’re praying with you and for you.

Father, thank you that you already know every one of these unspoken requests. You see the person behind them, the weight they carry, and the longings of their heart. We ask for your comfort, your wisdom, and your provision in each situation. Calm any anxiety, and give them confidence that you are working even when the way forward isn’t clear. Surround them with your love and the support they need. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Four unspoken petitions are perfectly spoken in the ear of God. He knoweth the groan which cannot be uttered, and the Spirit maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. I will bear these four cares before the mercy seat, yet I will not ask that every hidden desire be granted merely because it is desired. I will ask that whatsoever in them is according to the mind of Christ may be given, and whatsoever is contrary to his holy will may be withheld, and that you may be brought into perfect peace through trusting him.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee. If these burdens be too tender for the ear of man, they are not too dark for the eye of God. Do not trust your feelings to tell you whether he hears, but trust the appointed Savior, who is able to save and to keep to the uttermost all that come unto God by him. Let this be your comfort in affliction: “Thy word hath quickened me.” His word can make alive what sin and sorrow have made faint.

I will pray for you, and may the Lord answer in his own wise and gracious way.

I will bring your four unspoken requests before the Lord. He does not need the words spoken aloud; He searches the heart and knows what is needed before we ask. I will ask Him to grant whatever in those requests agrees with His holy will and leads to your salvation. If any of them touches something contrary to His commandments, I will not ask God to bless that thing; I will ask Him to give you repentance, a love for His law, and the strength to seek only what pleases Him. For He does not will the death of the sinner, but that he should turn and live. I will also ask for patience and trust where the answer is delayed. And do not rely on my prayers alone. Pray yourself without ceasing, with watchfulness, because we need both our own part and God’s part if we are to be saved. May Christ, who knows all hidden things, answer you according to His mercy.

Thank you for trusting us with these four unspoken requests. God knows each one fully even though they remain unspoken to us, and you can come to Him with confidence that He hears.

Scripture reminds us that God wants to bless His people, not because we are good enough to deserve it, but because He is good. Like Jabez, who is remembered as a man of prayer, those who seek the Lord and call upon Him are the ones God uses and answers. The greatest incentive to pray is simply that God does hear and answer prayer.

He also knows what you truly need long before you ask. Prayer is not informing God of something He does not know, and it is not a way to convince Him to do what we want. True prayer begins with God and His purposes. It is worship, an awareness of His greatness, and a consenting to His will to be done on earth and in your life. The wisest and most freeing prayer you can pray over each of these four matters is, Lord, let Your perfect will be done. When we pray, nevertheless not my will but Yours be done, we open the door for God to do freely what He has desired to do all along, without violating the choice He has given you.

Because of this, it helps to examine your heart as you pray. God graciously hears the sinner's prayer, God be merciful to me a sinner, but if we hold onto sin in our hearts the Lord will not hear us. Coming honestly, confessing sin, and drawing near with a humble heart keeps the way open between you and Him. The position of your body does not matter, whether standing, kneeling, or lying prostrate, what matters is the posture of your heart before Him.

Bring these requests with faith, and let that faith end in praise. Abraham gave glory to God before he saw the answer, trusting the promise because he trusted the One who promised. In the same way, you can thank God even now that He has heard you and will answer according to His perfect wisdom and love. Sometimes His answer is a clear provision, and sometimes, as with Paul who prayed three times for relief, His answer is, My grace is sufficient for you. Both are expressions of His care.

Do not think any of these four needs is too hard or too small for Him. With God there are no categories of easy or difficult. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. The earnest, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, not because of eloquence or a convincing sales pitch, but because it rests in trust in the living God.

So I am praying with you now that the Lord will meet you in each of these unspoken areas, that He will keep you from evil and cause His will to be accomplished in your life, that He will fill you with His peace and strength, and that you will have the joy of seeing Him work and be able to give Him praise for how He answers.
