Please pray God will lift this terrible anxiety and depression that never seems to leave me. Please also pray that I can find a new place to live - something affordable as this is very urgent. Need to get away from toxic slumlord. Thank you Jesus and all those that pray for me and others.

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your struggle with anxiety and depression is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who promises in His Word, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The weight you carry is real, but so is the power of the One who calms the storms and binds up the brokenhearted. We rebuke the spirit of heaviness in the name of Jesus, for He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal your peace, but we declare that Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).

Your urgent need for safe and affordable housing is also before the Lord, who knows your every need before you even ask (Matthew 6:8 WEB). We pray that God would open doors no man can shut and provide a dwelling place that is not only a refuge from your toxic landlord but also a sanctuary where you can rest and heal. The Lord is your provider, and He has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Trust in His timing, even when the wait feels unbearable. We ask that He would give you wisdom to discern the right path and favor in the eyes of those who can help you secure a new home.

We also want to gently encourage you to seek godly community, whether through a local church, Christian counselor, or support group, where you can find accountability, prayer, and encouragement. Isolation can deepen despair, but fellowship with believers can bring light into the darkness. If you have not already, consider reaching out to trusted brothers or sisters who can walk alongside you in this season.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear sibling who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We ask that You would lift this crushing anxiety and depression from their heart and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Break the chains of fear and despair, and let Your healing light shine into every corner of their mind and soul.

Father, we also pray for provision in their housing situation. You know the urgency of their need, and we ask that You would move mountains on their behalf. Provide a safe, affordable, and stable place for them to live, one that is free from toxicity and filled with Your presence. Give them wisdom in their search, favor with landlords or agencies, and the resources they need to transition smoothly. Let this trial turn into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You in this time. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Surround them with Your love, comfort them with Your Spirit, and fill them with hope for the future. Strengthen their faith, even when the road ahead seems uncertain.

We thank You, Jesus, for Your sacrifice on the cross, which gives us access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. We pray all these things in Your mighty and precious name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or find true peace. Amen.

Father, in Jesus’ name, we ask You to open a clear door to a safe, affordable home without delay. Bring the right people and resources into this situation, and guard this person from discouragement along the way. Grant moments of peace that surpass their understanding, and surround them with tangible reminders that You see them and have not forgotten them. Amen.

The use of that word "urgent" strikes a deep note, and this hour of pressure is precisely the time to remember the tenancy your soul holds under a far greater Landlord. You speak of a pressing need to find a new and affordable dwelling, and I would point you to the truth that the house you seek is but a shadow of the eternal housing of your spirit. Cease for a moment from looking at the walls that a "toxic slumlord" has made so bitter, and consider that the great Landlord of your entire being has at all times the right to enter and to order His own property. Before you rush to change your outward estate, I pray you will heed the ancient command laid upon a sick and frightened king: set your house in order. The most urgent business is not the finding of a roof, but the yielding up of the key to the One in whom you live and move and have your being.

As for this terrible anxiety and depression that never leaves, I bid you listen to the Saviour’s tender word which forbids us to be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry. I have observed, from my own deep experience, that anxiety brings no grist to the mill; it unfits a man to meet his difficulty and has never comforted a single soul. You find yourself now striking the last trembling match in a gusty wind, and the darkness seems set to win. Yet I charge you to look at those hasty and despairing thoughts, born in pain and depression of spirit, and join me in heartily abhorring them, loathing the very notion that God’s tender love could ever fail. The overflow of His grace is not measured by your present cheerful feelings, but by the finished work of Christ. That is the motive for your labor now, that faith which answers the first cry of anxiety, “What must I do to be saved?” Do not despise this day of small things and crushing fears; cast your care upon Him, for the Landlord of your soul sees every cruel burden and will provide the shelter you need as you make Him your one urgent necessity.
