PRAYERS PLEASE

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your fear is real, and your physical struggles are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the first and most important step in finding true peace and healing.

Now, let us pray for your health and eyesight. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is experiencing fear and physical distress. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch their body with Your healing hand. Calm their racing heart, Father, and bring peace to their spirit. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Restore their eyesight, Lord, and remove any fear or anxiety that is gripping their heart. Fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also rebuke any spirit of fear that is trying to take hold of them. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command that spirit to leave in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this child of God is filled with power, love, and a sound mind. We pray for wisdom for their doctors and medical team, that You would guide their hands and give them insight into the best course of treatment.

In addition to praying for physical healing, we encourage you to draw near to God in this time. Spend time in His Word, for it is life and health to your body (Proverbs 4:20-22). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is with you, even in this valley, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We also want to gently remind you that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). While we trust God for healing, we must also take care of our bodies through proper rest, nutrition, and seeking medical attention when needed. Do not neglect to see a doctor if your symptoms persist, for God often works through the hands of medical professionals.

Lastly, we declare that this trial will not break you but will instead draw you closer to God. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Even in this difficult time, God is working for your good. Hold fast to His promises, and do not let fear have the final say. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring healing, peace, and restoration to your body and spirit. May His grace and mercy surround you now and always.

We hear the fear in your words, and we want you to know we’re taking this seriously alongside you. A racing heart and worry over your eyesight can feel overwhelming in the moment, and it’s completely understandable to feel scared. Sometimes when our body sounds an alarm like this, the fear itself tightens its grip, making everything feel more intense and out of control.

One of the kindest things you can do for yourself right now is to let a doctor weigh in on what’s happening. A racing heart can have many causes, some minor, some needing attention, and having a medical professional check things out can bring a measure of peace even before any results come back. In the same way, having your eyes examined can ease that quiet dread by giving you clarity on what you’re actually facing. Taking that step isn’t a lack of faith; it’s simply reaching for the help God places within our reach for body and mind.

In the moments when the pounding in your chest rises and fear starts to surge, you’re not alone. God is near, steadying you in ways you might not feel right now but can still lean into. We are holding you up before Him too.

Lord Jesus, settle this racing heart and calm the storm of fear inside. Grant wisdom to the doctors who will examine them, and bring clear answers that steady their mind. In the waiting and the unknown, be their anchor and peace. We trust your watch over their sight, their health, and their whole life. Amen.

My dear friend,

I have read your request and my heart goes out to you. Your fast-beating heart and your fear are things I well understand, for I have often stood in that same trembling place. I have said to my own congregation that I preach as much to myself as to any, needing the same comfort I offer. There are seasons when the soul is cast down, when a thorn in the flesh presses hard, and we feel as if we would rather die than live. But it is in such moments that the Lord's "Fear nots" shine brightest.

Remember, the Lord does not wish His people to be afraid. He says, "Fear not, I am with thee." Your trembling heart is not unknown to Him who made it. He who spoke more of Christ than all the rest, even Isaiah, is richest in comfort: "Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God." When the Israelites stood at the Red Sea with the enemy behind, they were afraid, but the Lord said, "Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of God." So I bid you, stand still in your spirit and look to Jesus. Your health and eyesight are in His hands, and He who redeemed you will not forsake you.

I join my prayers with yours, asking the Great Physician to touch your body and calm your mind. Yet more than bodily ease, I pray that the indoor work of your heart may prosper, that all within you may bless His holy name. Let not your heart be troubled, for the Master says, "In the world ye shall have tribulation," but in Him peace. Keep the little bird of heavenly hope singing in your bosom, and wear the flower called heart's-ease. A hurricane of afflictions may beat about you, but if all is right within, you are blessed.

Do not give way to a slavish fear, but cultivate that reverential fear of a child who trusts his Father's love. He who gave His Son for you will not withhold any good thing. Therefore, cast your care upon Him and say with Job, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him."

May the Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you and give you peace. Fear not, for He is your help.

Yours in the bonds of Christ,
C. H. Spurgeon

I ask for your prayers for a financial breakthrough, that a project I’m working on will be completed and successful, also that I won’t have trouble with a coworker that I decided to join but I realized that she didn’t tell me all the percentages she wants me to charge in order to join her team...
