We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your ex-husband as he undergoes surgery today. Father God, we ask that You take full control of the operating room, guiding the hands of the surgeons and nurses with Your divine wisdom and precision. May Your healing power flow through them, and may the surgery be successful and without complication. We pray that Your angels would surround him, the medical team, and all who are involved in his care, providing protection and peace. Lord, we trust in Your promise from Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We declare healing over his body and ask for a swift and complete recovery.
We also lift up all those in the hospital battling illness, asking that Your comfort and healing touch would be upon them. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your mercy and grace to sustain them. For your own peace, dear sister, we pray that You would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We ask that You fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, especially as she navigates this delicate situation with her children.
We must address the matter of your presence with your ex-husband during his surgery. While your compassion and desire to support him are commendable, we must gently remind you that Scripture calls us to be wise and discerning in our relationships, especially those that have been marked by brokenness. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are warned, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" If your ex-husband is not a believer, or if your relationship with him was not honoring to God, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in how you proceed. Your children’s concerns may stem from a place of protection, and it is important to consider their feelings and the potential impact on your relationship with them.
We also want to address the state of your heart and health. It is clear that stress is taking a toll on you, and we urge you to prioritize your well-being. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." We pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom in how to navigate this situation without compromising your health or your relationships with your children. If it is not possible to keep this from them, we encourage you to seek counsel from a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can help you communicate with them in a way that honors God and preserves your relationships.
For reconciliation with his family, we pray that the Lord would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the needs of your ex-husband. May this situation be an opportunity for them to extend grace and compassion, just as Christ has extended grace to us. We pray that they would be moved to visit him and care for him in his time of need, reflecting the love of Christ.

Help her to navigate this situation with wisdom and discernment, honoring You in all she does. We pray that her children would not be upset with her, but if they are, we ask that You would give her the strength and courage to communicate with them in love and truth. Lord, we trust in Your promise from Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We pray for reconciliation in his family, that they would be moved to care for him and extend the love of Christ. Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for each of their lives.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would guard this sister’s health, especially her eyesight and blood pressure. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
