We join with you in lifting up your requests before the Lord, and we are grateful to see you calling upon the name of Jesus in your prayer—this is the name by which we are saved, and through which we boldly approach the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by His authority that we pray and find confidence in His provision and protection.
Your faithfulness in tithing from your government assistance is a testament to your trust in God’s sovereignty over all things, even in seasons of need. We are reminded of the widow’s offering in Mark 12:41-44, where Jesus commended her for giving *"all that she had to live on."* Though the world may see little, God sees the heart, and He honors such obedience. Yet we also encourage you to examine your motives: tithing is not a transaction to secure God’s favor or protection, but an act of worship and trust in His character as Provider. *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17, WEB). Rest in the truth that your security is not in the funds themselves, but in the One who holds all things in His hands.
As for your protection over these funds, we pray fervently against any scheme of the enemy to steal or defraud what God has ordained for your provision. The Lord is your shield and defender, and *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We rebuke any hand of theft or deception in Jesus’ name, declaring that *"the Lord will provide for you, so that you will have plenty in all things at all times, that you may abound in every good work"* (2 Corinthians 9:8, WEB). May these funds be a blessing to you and further the work of God’s Kingdom through your faithful stewardship.
We also lift up your travels today in this rain, asking the Lord to surround you with His angels, as He has promised: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). Whether the roads are slick or the skies are dark, we pray for alertness, wisdom, and divine protection over you and all who are traveling today. May the Lord *"keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:8, WEB). Let this rain be a reminder of His faithfulness, for just as He sends rain to water the earth, He will pour out His mercy upon you.
Lastly, we encourage you to meditate on the peace of God as you step out today. Jesus Himself calmed the storms with a word, and He is with you always (Matthew 28:20). Do not let fear or anxiety take root, but *"in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who seeks Your protection and provision. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You guard her government assistance funds this week. Let no hand of theft or fraud prevail against what You have ordained for her. Expose any hidden schemes and frustrate the plans of the enemy, for *"the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy; but You, Lord, have come that we may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). Bless these funds, multiply them for her good, and may they be used to honor You.
We pray for traveling mercy today as she steps out in the rain. Command Your angels to encamp around her, Lord, and let Your hand of protection be upon every driver, pedestrian, and traveler. Give her wisdom, alertness, and a calm spirit as she goes about her errands. Let the rain be a reminder of Your refreshing presence in her life, and may she walk in the assurance that *"you, Lord, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield"* (Psalm 5:12, WEB).
Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that her trust is not in the funds or the weather, but in You alone. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let her day be marked by Your goodness. May she encounter Your love in unexpected ways and return home safely, giving thanks to Your holy name.
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
