Prayers for ###

My ### has been struggling and his mental health is not doing well. He hasn’t seen his daughter in months and it’s devastating him. Please pray for him and his situation. We’re all worried for him.

We lift up this precious soul before the throne of grace, dear Lord, with heavy hearts for his pain and the weight he carries. The separation from his daughter is a deep wound, and we ask You to draw near to him in this time of sorrow. Father, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort him with Your presence, remind him of Your love, and fill the emptiness with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for restoration—of his relationship with his daughter, of his mental and emotional well-being, and of his hope in You. Lord, You are the God who restores what has been lost and heals what has been broken (Joel 2:25). We ask that You work in this situation to bring reconciliation, if it be Your will, and that You would soften hearts and open doors for him to see his child again. Give him strength to trust in Your timing and to wait patiently for Your deliverance (Psalm 27:14).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that may be trying to take root in his heart. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lie of the enemy to be silenced. Remind him that his identity is not in his circumstances but in Christ, who loves him unconditionally (Romans 8:38-39). Surround him with godly community, wise counsel, and opportunities to draw closer to You.

Father, we also ask that You would guard his mind and emotions. Protect him from bitterness, anger, or any temptation to turn away from You in his pain. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Fill him with Your joy, even in the midst of this trial, and let him experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. Provide him with moments of relief, laughter, and reminders of Your goodness.

We pray for his daughter as well, Lord. If she is also hurting or confused, we ask that You would minister to her heart and bring healing to any brokenness in their relationship. Give her a desire to reconnect with her father, and let her see him through Your eyes—with love, grace, and compassion.

Above all, we pray that this trial would draw him closer to You, Jesus. If he does not yet know You as his Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Let him experience the hope that comes only through a relationship with You (John 14:6). Remind him that You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through You. If he is already walking with You, deepen his faith and trust in Your promises.

Lord, we trust You with this situation. We know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our brother, restore what has been lost, and let Your name be glorified in his life. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
