Prayers for relationship

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord, I come to you and ask for your help and guidance in my relationship. I ask that you give us your wisdom to help us overcome this season in our life. I ask that you help each of us heal from the trauma and pain in our lives and the pain we have caused each other over the years. Father I ask that you help us reconcile our relationship. I know we have the power to rebuild what we have stronger and better than before but we need your help. We cannot do it alone. Please help us in rebuilding what we have and repairing our foundation. I ask that you please take away all the distractions from the enemy that are against us right now so our focus solely lies on each other so we can figure this out. I know it won’t be easy but it’s a fight I’m willing to fight and do whatever it takes. Our story is worth rewriting, it’s worth fighting for every moment. I know We will fail sometimes but we will also rise above but I know we can’t do it alone. I know that all things are possible through you and I need a miracle. I ask you to please help us in this. In Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry for restoration and healing in your marriage, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s will and wisdom in this season. The desire to rebuild what has been broken is noble, but we must first examine whether this relationship aligns with God’s design for marriage—a covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in Christ and committed for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If there has been unfaithfulness, whether emotionally or physically, we must address it with repentance and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Your request speaks of pain and trauma, and we acknowledge the deep wounds that may exist between you. Healing begins with humility, forgiveness, and a willingness to surrender to God’s healing touch. We rebuke the enemy’s distractions and lies that seek to divide you, for the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). However, we must also rebuke any sin that has taken root in this relationship, whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, or sexual immorality. The Bible is clear that marriage is to be held in honor, and the marriage bed kept pure (Hebrews 13:4). If there has been fornication or adultery, it must be confessed and turned away from, for God’s grace is sufficient to restore, but restoration requires repentance.

We pray that God would give you both the strength to lay down your pride and seek His face together. Let your foundation be built on Christ, for no other foundation can stand (1 Corinthians 3:11). If this marriage is to be rebuilt, it must be done on His terms, with both of you submitting to His lordship. We pray that God would reveal any areas where you have strayed from His will and give you the courage to walk in obedience. Let your love for one another be patient, kind, and selfless, as described in 1 Corinthians 13, and let it be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We lift up this marriage to You, asking that You would heal the wounds, restore the brokenness, and bind them together in Your love. Lord, we ask that You would remove every distraction and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide them. Give them wisdom to discern Your will and the strength to walk in it. If there has been sin, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance. If restoration is Your will, we pray that You would rebuild this marriage stronger than before, with Christ at the center. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and teach them to love as You love. We declare that nothing is impossible for You, and we trust that You are working all things together for their good, as they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this marriage bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your redeeming power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or Christian marriage mentor who can walk with you through this process. Surround yourselves with believers who will pray for you and hold you accountable. Remember, the fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God, stand firm in His truth, and trust that He is fighting for you. If this marriage is to be restored, it will be by His grace and for His glory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Let's trust in His plan and His timing. We're fighting for your relationship, and we're confident that with God, all things are possible. Keep holding on, keep trusting, and keep fighting. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
