Prayers for relationship

Beloved of All
Lord, I come to you and ask for your help and guidance in my relationship. I ask that you give us your wisdom to help us overcome this season. I ask that you help each of us heal from the trauma and pain in our lives and the pain we have caused each other over the years. I ask that you help heal his heart and bring him closer to you. Lord I ask that you help us reconcile our relationship and restore our family. I know we have the power to rebuild what we have stronger and better than before but lord we need your help. We cannot do it alone. Every day will be a challenge but it’s a challenge worth fighting for. Please help us in rebuilding what we have and repairing our foundation. I ask that you please take away all the distractions from the enemy that are against us right now so our focus solely lies on each other. I ask you to please help us in this. We can do all things through you and I know it’s possible. In Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your heartfelt plea for restoration and healing in your marriage, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. It is clear you desire reconciliation, healing from past wounds, and a renewed foundation built on God’s truth. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to God and to one another. If either of you has not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Salvation comes through confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in rebuilding anything of lasting value.

Your prayer speaks of healing from trauma and pain, and we know the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that God would reveal any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in your hearts, for these can hinder His work in your lives. Scripture commands us to forgive as the Lord forgave us (Colossians 3:13), and this is essential for true healing. If there has been sexual immorality—whether fornication before marriage or adultery during it—this must be repented of and forsaken, for such sin defiles the marriage bed, which God calls holy (Hebrews 13:4). Confession and repentance before God and one another are necessary to walk in the freedom Christ offers.

We also lift up your desire to rebuild your marriage stronger than before. The Bible tells us that unless the Lord builds the house, those who labor build in vain (Psalm 127:1). Marriage is a covenant, not just a contract, and it is designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). This means sacrificial love, submission to God’s order, and a commitment to honor one another as fellow heirs of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7). We pray that God would give you both a renewed vision for your marriage as a testimony to His faithfulness and grace.

The distractions of the enemy you mentioned are real, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every scheme of the devil aimed at dividing you, and we pray that God would bind the enemy’s work in your lives. Stand firm in the armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Fill your home with prayer, worship, and the reading of Scripture, for these are weapons that demolish strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a mature Christian couple who can walk alongside you. Proverbs 15:22 tells us that plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed. Do not try to navigate this season alone—God often works through the wisdom and support of His people.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this marriage before Your throne. Lord, we thank You for the covenant You have established between a man and a woman, and we ask that You would breathe new life into this union. Father, we confess any sin that has caused division—whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, pride, or sexual immorality. Cleanse their hearts by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a place of purity and holiness.

Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds of the past. Where there has been pain, bring Your comfort. Where there has been brokenness, bring Your wholeness. Where there has been distance, draw them back together in love and unity. Father, we pray that You would soften their hearts toward one another and toward You. Help them to see one another through Your eyes and to extend grace as You have extended grace to them.

We rebuke every distraction and scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide them. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would remove anything that hinders their focus on You and on one another. Fill their home with Your peace, Your presence, and Your Word.

Father, we pray that You would rebuild their foundation on the rock of Your truth. Teach them to love one another as Christ loved the Church—to lay down their lives for one another, to serve one another in humility, and to honor one another as fellow heirs of Your grace. Give them wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead, and remind them daily that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. May their relationship with You be the cornerstone of their marriage. Help them to seek You first in all things, and may their love for one another grow as a reflection of Your love for them.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who reconciles us to God and to one another. May Your will be done in this marriage, and may Your name be glorified through their lives. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God daily, individually and together. Spend time in prayer, read Scripture, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform your hearts. Remember that love is not just a feeling but a choice—a commitment to honor God and one another, even in difficult seasons. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He make His face shine upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're right there with you, believing in the power of prayer and the love of Jesus to heal and restore your relationship. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

We know that the path to healing and reconciliation might feel overwhelming at times, but remember that Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way. He promises to give you rest, to be gentle and humble, and to make His burden light.

We've been praying for God to reveal any hidden wounds or hurts that need healing, and for Him to bind up those wounds with His love and grace. We're asking Him to help you both to forgive as you've been forgiven, and to restore your relationship on a firm foundation of love, trust, and commitment.

We're also praying for God to remove any distractions or obstacles that might be hindering your focus on Him and on each other. We're asking Him to fill your home with His peace, His presence, and His Word.

Let's keep praying together, trusting in the power of Jesus' name to heal, restore, and strengthen your relationship. We're believing for a miracle, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your relationship and your family. These past days, we have continued to lift up every word of your heart before the Lord—your longing for wisdom, for healing from past wounds, for reconciliation, and for protection from distractions that seek to pull you apart. We have prayed that God would soften both of your hearts, draw you closer to Him, and rebuild what has been broken with His strength, not your own.

If the Lord has already begun to move in answer to your prayers—if you’ve seen glimpses of healing, restoration, or renewed focus—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the journey still feels heavy and the answers aren’t yet clear, please know we are still here. Share your request again, and we will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t see it.

This fight for your relationship is worth every prayer, every step of obedience, and every moment of trust in Him. Keep pressing into Jesus, knowing that what He has joined together, no trial or enemy can tear apart. We pray that His peace would guard your hearts, His wisdom would guide your words, and His love would be the foundation you rebuild upon. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
