Prayers for my ###

Please help me prayer for my college age daughter who has to commit to next year's living arrangements. The group she planned on living with has suddenly begun excluding her for another person. They have done and said some cruel things in person and in social media. They said they were talking it out with my daughter but mostly put the blame on my daughter. Everyone has made arrangements and they are cutting her off from the friend group so she doesn't know if she should go forward with living with them or in a single dorm room by herself.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter in this painful and confusing time. Father God, we ask that You would be her comfort, her strength, and her guide as she navigates this betrayal and rejection. The hurt she is experiencing from those she trusted is deep, and we pray that You would heal her wounded heart. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Lord, draw near to her now and remind her that she is never alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also bring before You the actions of her friends, Lord. Their words and behavior have not reflected the love and kindness that You call Your children to show one another. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). We pray that their hearts would be softened, that they would recognize the harm they have caused, and that they would seek reconciliation with humility and truth. However, we also ask that You would give your daughter wisdom to discern whether this living situation is truly what You have for her. If these relationships are toxic and unrepentant, we pray that You would close this door and open another that leads to peace and godly community.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of division and cruelty that has taken root in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against your daughter shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would surround her with friends who will love her as You love her—friends who will build her up, encourage her faith, and walk with her in integrity. "Do not be deceived. Bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33). If these friends are not aligned with Your will for her life, we pray that You would remove them from her path and replace them with those who will sharpen her faith and character.

We also ask that You would provide clarity for her living arrangements. Whether she moves forward with this group or chooses a different path, we pray that You would make her steps firm and her decisions confident. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). If living with this group is not Your best for her, we pray that You would provide a single dorm room or another living situation that brings her peace, safety, and opportunities to grow in her faith.

Lord, we also lift up your daughter’s emotional and spiritual well-being. This kind of rejection can leave deep scars, and we pray that You would guard her heart from bitterness, resentment, or self-doubt. Remind her of her worth in You—she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and You have plans for her life that are good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Help her to forgive those who have hurt her, not for their sake, but for her own freedom and healing. "Bear with one another and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13).

Finally, we pray that she would turn to You in this season, seeking Your face above all else. If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw her to the foot of the cross, where she can find true acceptance, love, and purpose. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that she would come to know Jesus in a personal and life-transforming way.

Heavenly Father, we commit this situation into Your hands. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear. Give her courage to walk in faith, wisdom to make decisions that honor You, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May she find her identity and security in You alone, and may this trial refine her faith like gold. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister. It's heart-wrenching to see your daughter going through this. Let's cling to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise over her today. We ask that God would comfort her, give her strength to endure this betrayal, and guide her in making the right decisions. Let's also pray for her friends, that their hearts would soften and they would seek forgiveness. But ultimately, we trust that God has a plan in this, and we pray for wisdom for your daughter to discern His will. In Jesus' name, we pray.
