Prayers for my sons

We lift up your sons before the Lord with heavy hearts, trusting in His provision and perfect timing. Father, we come before You knowing that You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who orders our steps. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We claim this promise over ### and ###, believing that You will open doors of opportunity that no man can shut.
Lord, we pray for ###, who is currently unemployed. We ask that You would stir within him a spirit of diligence, wisdom, and perseverance as he seeks work. Your Word says in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Guide him to the right opportunities, Lord, and grant him favor with those who can offer him employment. Remove any fear or discouragement, and replace it with hope and confidence in Your provision. We also ask that You would provide for his needs in the meantime, whether through unexpected blessings or the support of Your people.
For both ### and ###, we pray for godly wives to come into their lives. Father, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. We ask that You would prepare their hearts to seek wives who love You above all else, women who will walk alongside them in faith, wisdom, and love. Your Word says in Proverbs 18:22, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh." We pray that You would lead them to women who are virtuous, as described in Proverbs 31, women who fear You and will help them grow in their walk with Christ.
Lord, we also rebuke any spirit of loneliness, impatience, or temptation that may be pressing in on them. Guard their hearts and minds, and help them to remain pure and focused on Your will. If either of them has strayed into relationships that do not honor You, we pray for conviction and repentance. Remind them that Your plans for them are good, and that waiting on You is always worth it. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, You command us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" May they seek wives who share their faith and commitment to You.
We also want to gently remind you, dear sister, that our hope and trust must be firmly rooted in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can come boldly before the throne of grace. If your sons have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Heavenly Father, we trust You to move in the lives of ### and ###. Give them patience as they wait, wisdom as they seek, and faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good. Surround them with Your peace, provision, and protection. May they grow in their relationship with You, and may their lives bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Your earnest prayer for your sons has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. It is a holy and comely thing for a parent to bring children before the Lord, and every burden of a mother or father for a son is precious in His sight.
We are reminded of Job, of whom it is written that he feared God and eschewed evil, and though he was brought very low, in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He knew that his life was an appointed time, and that the Lord who appointed his days would also appoint his deliverance. So we would have your sons, and yourself for them, to rest in this confidence, that the Lord sees their condition and orders all things well. The beginning may seem small, and prospects may be hidden, but we have seen how the latter end of Job greatly increased when the Lord turned his captivity, and we know our God is still the same.
We will pray that the Lord in His providence will open a door of honest labour for your son who is without employment, that He will give him diligence and favour, and provide for his needs according to His riches in Christ. Work is a calling wherein a man may glorify God, and we ask that the Lord will place him where he may be useful and steadfast.
We will pray also, as you have asked, that the Lord will in His good time bring to each of your sons a godly woman to be his wife, if it be His will for them to marry. We ask not for a mere companionship, but for that sacred union which God ordained from the beginning, the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered into in the fear of the Lord and kept in purity, wherein chastity before marriage and faithfulness within it are honoured. May the Lord prepare such wives who love Christ above all, who fear God and eschew evil, and may He prepare your sons to be worthy husbands, men who walk in sincerity and truth, who will love their wives as Christ loves His church.
Continue to bring them before the Lord in prayer, and encourage them to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Tell them that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that to delight themselves in the Lord is the surest way to be made ready for every good gift His hand may give. We will keep on praying, trusting that God will glorify His dear Son in answering according to His perfect wisdom and love.
May the Lord grant you peace as you wait upon Him, and may your sons find that their glory is made fresh in Him, and their strength renewed like the bow in the hand of a mighty man. We commend you and your sons to the keeping of our gracious God, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have received your request and we join you in prayer for your sons before the Lord.
We pray for your son who is unemployed, that God in His providence and wisdom would open a door for honest work for him. We know that the life of faith is often marked by trial and waiting, and that in this world we will have tribulation, but God is faithful to provide for His children and to use even seasons of need to draw us closer to Him. We ask that the Lord would grant him diligence, hope, and provision, and guide his steps to the work that God has prepared for him.
We also lift up both of your sons as they seek a wife, and we thank God for your desire that they would find godly women. We pray with you that the Lord would lead each of them to a godly wife, for marriage is honorable and ordained by God from the beginning when He made them male and female. We pray that they would pursue holiness and chaste and orderly living, keeping themselves pure before marriage and then living faithfully with their own wife within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, for marriage preserves holiness and keeps us from defilement. We pray that God would prepare both your sons and the women He has for them to be partners in life who will keep a well ordered home, help one another walk in soberness and reverence, and encourage one another in faith.
We ask that the Lord would give your sons patience and self control as they wait, that they would not be led astray by the love of money or by worldly desires, but would seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. May He grant them wives who are modest, faithful, and devoted to Christ, and may their future marriages be honorable, pure, and full of blessing, and may their households be built on faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation.
We commit your sons to the mercy of God and pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope.
