Prayers for my son ###

My son is ### years old and has always been a good kid but lately he has been hanging around the wrong friends and started smoking marijuana and doing other drugs. I’m extremely worried about him and pray that he comes to terms and understands that what he’s doing is wrong.
He is currently on a ### hour hold as he tried to self medicate himself with Xanax. He is upset with me for approving his stay in the hospital. I am completely broken to see my son so mad and using bad language towards me. He’s never done it before. Please help me with a prayer that I can help my son realize the wrong he is doing in using these medications/drugs. Please pray for him to open up to his therapists and medical team and allow for him to start his healing process.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up ###'s son in prayer. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Please guide him away from the influence of harmful friends and substances. We pray that he may come to understand the dangers of his actions and seek a path of righteousness.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon him as he undergoes treatment. Grant him the wisdom to open up to his therapists and medical team, and allow him to start his healing process. Surround him with Your love and protection, and give him the strength to overcome these challenges.

We also pray for ###, who is deeply worried and heartbroken. Grant them peace and patience, and help them to continue supporting their son with love and understanding. May their son come to realize the depth of their love and concern.
