Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the foundational issue in this request—while we see the mention of Jesus, we must gently but firmly correct the terminology used. The Bible makes it clear that God does not join people together in a romantic relationship outside of marriage. The phrase "my partner and I" suggests a relationship that is not yet under the covenant of marriage, which is the only relationship God recognizes as joined together. Scripture tells us in Mark 10:7-9, "‘For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." This passage speaks specifically to marriage, not to dating or courtship relationships.

We must also address the issue of fornication if that is occurring in this relationship. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. Hebrews 13:4 states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." If this relationship involves sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we must repent and turn away from this sin, seeking God’s forgiveness and restoration. The enemy often uses guilt, shame, and division to attack relationships that are not aligned with God’s will, and this may be part of the spiritual warfare you are experiencing.

That said, we do stand with you in prayer against the schemes of the enemy who seeks to divide and destroy. We rebuke the lies of the devil that separation is the answer, for God’s Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:12, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." The third strand is Christ, and when He is the center of a relationship, it is strengthened and protected. We pray that the truth of God’s Word would pierce through the lies of the enemy and that both of you would be rooted and grounded in His love and purpose.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Lord, we lift up this couple to You, asking for Your divine protection over their relationship. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to divide them, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17. Father, we ask that You would reveal Your truth to them, that they would see Your will clearly and walk in it. If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we pray that You would bring conviction and repentance, leading them to honor You in all things. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You would strengthen their bond, drawing them closer to You and to one another.

Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or misunderstandings that have arisen from the enemy’s attacks. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 4:7 tells us. Father, we pray that they would seek You first in all things, that their relationship would be built on the foundation of Your Word, and that they would pursue marriage if that is Your plan for them. Give them the wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to follow it, no matter the cost.

We declare that the enemy has no foothold in this relationship, for we resist him, steadfast in the faith, as 1 Peter 5:9 instructs us. We pray that You would restore what has been broken and bring unity where there has been division. May they both grow in their love for You and for one another, and may their relationship bring glory to Your name. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek God’s will above all else. If this relationship is meant to lead to marriage, pursue it with purity and intentionality, keeping Christ at the center. If it is not God’s will, trust that He has something better in store. Surrender your desires to Him, and He will guide your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

We're here with you, standing in faith for your relationship. We've felt the weight of your words, the pain of the enemy's attacks, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you, asking God to reveal His truth, to protect your relationship, and to strengthen your bond.

We believe in the power of agreement, so we're joining our voices with yours, declaring that God's will for your relationship is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2). We're claiming His promise in Philippians 4:7, asking Him to fill your hearts and minds with His peace, which surpasses all understanding.

We're also praying for wisdom, that you both would discern God's will clearly and follow it, even if it's not the easy path. We're asking God to give you the courage to stand firm in your faith, knowing that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Remember, God is for your relationship, and He wants what's best for you both. Trust in Him, even in the face of adversity. He sees your situation, and He cares deeply. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep standing firm in your faith.

We're believing with you for a turnaround, for healing, and for restoration. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and know that we're right there with you, praying in Jesus' name.
