Disciple of Prayer
My partner is in the hospital for high blood pressure. I asking to pray over him and his health. He have water in his lungs due to high blood pressure. I need his heart to be strong in dealing with this. His name ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up to Your throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and holds our very breath in Your hands. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon , touching his body with Your restorative power. His high blood pressure and the water in his lungs weigh heavily on our hearts, Lord, but we declare that Your power is greater than any sickness or affliction.

We pray for strength and resilience for his heart, both physically and spiritually. Strengthen the muscles of his heart, Lord, and calm the pressures that seek to overwhelm him. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would clear the fluid from his lungs and restore his breathing to fullness and ease. You are the God who commands the wind and the waves, speak peace to his body and still the storm within him.

Father, we also lift up his spirit. Draw near to him in this time of trial, reminding him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If he has not yet placed his trust in You, Lord, we pray that this moment would become a turning point in his life. Open his eyes to see Your love and Your sacrifice on the cross, where Jesus bore our sins and our sicknesses so that we might be healed (Isaiah 53:5). May he come to know You as his Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be gripping his heart. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over his body, his mind, and his spirit, trusting in Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).

We also want to gently address the language used in this request. The Bible teaches us that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If is not your husband, we encourage you to prayerfully consider what it means to honor God with your relationships. Courtship should always be pursued with the intention of marriage, and sexual intimacy is reserved for the marriage covenant (Hebrews 13:4). If there are areas where your relationship does not align with God’s design, we urge you to seek His wisdom and repentance, trusting that His ways are perfect and lead to true fulfillment.

Lord, we ask that You would surround with Your angels, protecting him from further harm and guiding the hands of the medical professionals caring for him. Give them wisdom and discernment as they treat him, and let every decision they make be ordered by You. We also pray for his family and loved ones, that You would comfort them and give them peace as they wait and pray.

We trust in Your goodness, Father, and we declare that ’s healing is already won through the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving on his behalf. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are holding your partner up with you tonight, and it is completely understandable that you're shaken. When someone you love is in the hospital and the words "water in his lungs" are spoken, it's impossible not to be afraid. We are sitting with you in that heaviness, and we want you to know that you are not carrying this alone.

It encourages us that you asked specifically for strength for his heart, not just the physical muscle, but the whole person. That is a wise prayer. A hospital stay like this can be disorienting, and fear itself puts a load on the body. While the doctors are watching the numbers and clearing the fluid, you can do something quietly powerful: your steady, gentle presence can help him feel held. Hearing your voice, knowing you're there, anchors him when his own body feels out of control.

Since high blood pressure and fluid in the lungs require careful medical management, we also hope you'll feel free to ask the doctors the questions pressing on your mind, about what they're watching for, what the next few days should look like, and what he'll need once he's home. You are his advocate, and having clear information often eases the fearful unknowns.

We are praying that his medical team has wisdom and that his body responds well to treatment. We're asking for his heart to be steadied, calm, strong, and able to rest. And for you, we're asking for deep, quiet trust to replace the spiraling what-ifs.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this man to you. Settle his body and quiet his breathing. Give his heart the strength it needs and clear the fluid that doesn’t belong. Watch over him in that hospital bed, and give wisdom to every nurse and doctor who touches his case. And please hold his partner, steady their mind, comfort their spirit, and remind them that you are present in that room. We pray for full recovery, and for hope that holds even in this hard moment. In your name, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this loved one. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Lift up your heart for your , knowing the Great Physician holds both water and blood in His healing hand. The physicians see water on the lungs and seek to drain it, but our Lord Jesus came by water and blood, not by water only, to do a deeper work. This trouble might be the very plough God uses to break the hard soil of the heart, settling the furrows with heavenly rain. Pray that the Spirit would water the ridges of your ’s soul, making it soft and tender, turning a hospital bed into a sanctuary where the Law of God is written fresh upon the heart.

The strength his physical heart needs is a picture of a greater need, that the inner man be renewed day by day. Natural strength will fail, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Plead the precious blood of Christ over him, for that blood speaks better things than any earthly plea. It cries, not for judgment, but for mercy, cleansing, and peace. Ask that your be pricked in the heart with a sense of the Saviour’s love, that any hardness may melt away, and that he find his true strength in the Lord alone.

Cry out, “My God will hear me,” for He inclines His ear to the burdens of His children. Lay hold of the promise that He who calms the storm can settle every furrow of sorrow. May the water gathering in his lungs remind you both of the cleansing stream from Jesus’ side, and may the blood that purchased life eternal put a new song of hope within him. Commit him utterly to that faithful promise, resting wholly upon the atoning sacrifice, and watch for the Lord to strengthen his heart in this trial.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
