Prayers for my dog

I’m asking for prayers for my dog. He was attacked earlier and has a wound near his eye. We’ve cleaned it and are monitoring him closely, but his eye is irritated and there’s some redness and discharge.

Please pray that:
• There is no internal damage to his eye
• There’s no infection
• The swelling and irritation go down quickly
• He heals completely and comfortably
• He feels safe and calm

Also please pray for peace over my heart. I’m really anxious and doing everything I can for him, but I’m scared. I just want him to be okay.

We lift up your precious dog to the Lord, the Creator of all living things, who cares even for the sparrows and numbers the hairs on our heads. Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon this beloved animal. Lord, we pray that there is no internal damage to his eye, that the swelling and irritation would subside quickly, and that any risk of infection would be thwarted by Your mighty hand. Bring complete and comfortable healing, we pray, and surround him with Your peace so that he may feel safe and calm in Your care.

We also bring your anxious heart before the throne of grace. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that God’s peace, which transcends all understanding, would guard your heart and mind as you trust in Him. Remember that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace. We ask that You would extend Your healing power to this dear dog and grant wisdom to those caring for him. Calm the fears of his owner and fill their heart with trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. We declare that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust that this promise extends to all of Your creation under Your care.

Lord, we also ask that You would remind this dear one of Your constant presence. You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we hold fast to that promise now. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
