Prayers for protection over ### that help and speak to meet no harm come to them

We hear your heart for your coworker and the desire for God’s protection over their life. It is beautiful to see you lifting them up in prayer, asking that no harm would come their way and that they would be a source of encouragement and godly influence in your life.

First, we must acknowledge that true protection, wisdom, and salvation come only through faith in Jesus Christ. If your coworker does not yet know Him as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them into a personal relationship with Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Without Christ, there is no lasting protection or peace, for He alone is our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this coworker. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your divine protection, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard their steps, their words, and their heart from any scheme of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7).

We also pray that You would use them as a vessel of Your truth and love in the workplace. If they do not yet know You, Lord, break through the hardness of their heart and reveal Yourself to them. Let them experience Your peace, Your presence, and the transforming power of the Gospel. If they are already a believer, strengthen their faith and embolden them to speak life, encouragement, and biblical truth into every conversation.

Lord, we ask that You would also protect and guide this brother or sister who has submitted this request. Help them to be a light in their workplace, reflecting Christ in their actions, words, and attitudes. Give them discernment to recognize when to speak and when to listen, and fill them with Your wisdom so that they may be a godly influence on their coworker.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, division, or strife in this workplace in Jesus’ name. Let Your love and unity prevail, and may Your name be glorified in all that is said and done. We declare that this coworker will be a source of blessing, not stumbling, and that their life will be a testimony of Your grace and power.

In all things, Lord, we trust in You. You are our protector, our provider, and our peace. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving in this situation according to Your perfect will. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this coworker’s life and in the life of the one who has prayed.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re joining you in asking for protection over those coworkers, specifically the ones who help you and speak with you. That’s a gift worth guarding, and we don’t take it lightly when you name that as your need.

One practical thing you can do this week is pray through their names, one by one, whenever they come to mind in the middle of your workday. It doesn’t need to be long; just a quiet, “Lord, shield them,” can anchor your concern without letting worry take over. Another small step: the next time one of them helps you or a good conversation happens, simply telling them, “I’m praying for you,” can steady both of you more than you’d expect.

We also know that wanting safety for the people who treat you well comes from a right place, gratitude and love. That desire doesn’t make you anxious for no reason; it makes you human. And God sees it. He is not indifferent when we bring the wellbeing of others before Him.

Please pray with us?

Lord Jesus, we lift up these coworkers to You, the ones who offer help and conversation that lightens the day. Guard them from harm of any kind, and hedge them in wherever they go this week. Give them wisdom, keep them safe in their comings and goings, and let nothing evil reach them. And for our friend here, replace anxious thoughts with Your peace, and deepen those good working relationships even further. In Your name we ask it. Amen.

It is no small thing to feel the weight of concern for those who stand beside you in daily labour, and whose lips are opened toward you in speech. This very anxiety reveals a danger you have rightly perceived. We are all, whether strong or weak, in constant danger of falling, not only into outward calamity, but into spiritual mischief. You need an infinite Friend to keep you and those about you in safety against all the machinations of your adversaries. Never imagine that the peril is light, or that a soul can stand a single hour without being upheld by the only wise God our Saviour.

Yet note well where safety truly lies. You ask protection for those who help and speak with you, and this is a petition after God’s own heart. He has charged His angels concerning His people, to keep them in all their ways. But see to it that these ways are His ways. He who travels on the King’s Highway is under the King’s protection. The way of principle, the way of consecrated service, the way of simple truth, these are paths where the hedge of Divine protection stands strong. You will always need this keeping, for the need is perpetual and personal. But oh, the comfort of it: the Lord Himself covers your head in the day of armor. He bears a shield before you.

Therefore, lift up this cry with confidence: “I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.” If any should speak against you, or harm should threaten those whose companionship you value, let the petition be followed by this holy expectation. God will see to this. The farm is kept what it is, as well as made what it is, by God’s continual protection. His Throne might sooner fail than a saint can perish under His watch. Take the promises of God and grapple them to your soul as with hooks of steel. There is the safety of your spirit, and of theirs.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Pray not only for their bodily safety, but for their souls. For what advantage is it if no outward harm befalls them, yet within they are corrupted? You speak of those who help and speak to you; see then that their speech edifies and does not puff up. Knowledge without love is dangerous, for it inflates the proud heart while working harm to others. If they would be truly safe, they must follow the Master, taking up the cross daily and being prepared for every trial. To those who abide with Him, there is a pasture of safety where none can thrust them out.

Beware of trusting too much in the honor and attention they receive, or in your own confidence that no evil will touch them. The flood came in Noah’s day while men spoke of peace and safety, eating and drinking without thought. So too, many live in luxury and insensibility, only to meet sudden destruction. Pray then that your coworkers not be lulled by the world’s ease, but remain watchful and sober, using whatever talents they have, whether in speech or deed, for the common good.

Remember also that the things which seem to harm us often have no power except what we give them through our own passions. It is not external things that defile, but what proceeds from the heart: immoderate laughter, covetousness, vain-glory. Pray therefore for their protection, but chiefly that they may guard themselves from every corrupting influence, whether it come through unworthy companions or their own desires. He who is conscious of no evil done by himself need fear no lasting harm; for God’s grace is like a vessel of adamant, bearing treasure through every machination. Entrust them to that grace, and your prayer will be heard.

It is a sacred thing to bring others before the throne of God, and your heart is clearly in the right place. You are stepping into a vital ministry, because intercessory prayer moves the heart of God to work in the lives of those who need it most.

When we pray for our coworkers, we often find that the Spirit begins to minister to our own hearts at the same time. Lifting up their safety and well-being isn't just a duty; it becomes a channel of divine comfort and assurance for you as well. So do not let this request become a one-time mention. Continue in that prayer. The most effective prayer is often not a single, long outpouring, but a persistent, daily bringing of these very people before the Father. He is not reluctant to protect them, but He often waits for someone to stand in the gap, to open the door through faithful asking so He can do what He has been longing to do.

Your prayer for their protection echoes the trust of those who have faced real danger before, believing that no harm would overtake them because they trusted in their God. Yet Scripture also shows us that prayer precedes wise action. Prayer is never an excuse to do nothing; it is the first resort that guides everything else. As you pray for protection over your coworkers, also ask for wisdom to speak to them in ways that bring help and hope. Watch for the moments God opens a door for conversation, and trust that He is working in the details of their safety.

Make your requests known to Him with thanksgiving, not just as a monologue, but as a communion where you also listen for His quiet direction. The power is not in crafting the perfect words, but in a heart that humbly aligns itself with His purposes. Your care for these souls matters, and the effectual, fervent prayer you offer is a mighty force. May you find that as you commit them into God’s hands, any worry you carry is replaced with a deep, settled peace.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your coworker. It has been on our hearts to lift them up before the Lord, asking for His divine help and guidance in their interactions with you. We have also prayed fervently for God’s protection over them, that no harm would come their way and that His peace would surround them in every situation.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—if you’ve seen His hand at work in their words, actions, or circumstances—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If it feels like the answer hasn’t come yet, or if new concerns have arisen, please don’t hesitate to share them again. We are here to continue praying in agreement with you, trusting that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.

May the Lord bless you and your coworker abundantly as you both seek Him. We pray that His love and wisdom would fill every conversation and that His protection would be a shield around them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
