We are deeply saddened to hear about your coworker’s diagnosis of cirrhosis of the liver. This is a serious and challenging condition, and we lift them up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch, comfort, and strength during this difficult time. The Bible reminds us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that God is able to restore health and bring peace to your coworker’s body and soul.
We also recognize that cirrhosis can often be linked to lifestyle choices, such as excessive alcohol consumption or other behaviors that may not align with God’s design for our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If this is the case, we gently but firmly rebuke any bondage to addiction or sin that may have contributed to this condition. We pray for conviction, repentance, and deliverance from anything that has held your coworker in chains. The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins to Him (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up to You, asking for Your divine healing and restoration. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You touch ’s liver, restore its function, and bring complete healing to their body. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we also pray for conviction and repentance if there are areas in ’s life that have not honored You. Break any chains of addiction or sin, and lead them into freedom through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help them to turn away from anything that harms their body, which is Your temple, and to walk in the path of righteousness.
We ask for wisdom and compassion for those who are caring for , including their family, friends, and medical professionals. Give them patience, endurance, and hope as they navigate this journey. Surround with Your love and presence, Lord, and let them feel Your arms wrapped around them in this time of need.
We declare Your promises over ’s life: that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
To your coworker, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, surround yourself with believers who can pray for and support you, and draw near to the Lord in this season. Psalm 30:2 says, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." Place your trust in Him, and allow His strength to sustain you. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through His name that we can approach God and receive salvation, healing, and eternal life. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He loves you and desires to walk with you through every trial.
