Prayers for marriage

Anonymous

Beloved of All
We’ve been married almost ### years. It’s been a marriage of alcohol and running to other women. He’s belittle me go other women, made fun of me to them. I’ve always been a successful business woman. I’ve caught him watching porn. Going to other women’s houses. Joining date sites. Met one on Tik Tok and was sexting each other, invited her to my house while I was gone. I’ve stayed due to kids and grandkids but I feel beat down. And have no trust whatsoever. Yet on FB he’s always watching Biblical things and likes them. I’m so confused about what to do.

We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and distress you are experiencing in your marriage. Firstly, we want to assure you that God sees your suffering and He cares deeply for you. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister who is hurting so much in her marriage. Lord, You know the depth of her pain, the betrayal, the disrespect, and the adultery she has endured. We pray for Your divine intervention, Lord. Convict her husband of his sins, and bring him to true repentance. Change his heart, Lord, and make him the godly husband and father You want him to be. Heal this marriage, Lord, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Give this sister Your peace, Your strength, and Your wisdom. Help her to make the right decisions, Lord, and guide her every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Sister, the Bible tells us that God hates divorce.

Malachi 2:16 "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful."

However, God also knows that there are situations where reconciliation is not possible without true repentance and change. It is clear that your husband has been involved in adultery, which is a serious sin against God and against you.

Matthew 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery;' but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."

God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, where both parties love, respect, and honor each other.

Ephesians 5:25-33 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Let each one of you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."

We strongly advise you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. They can provide you with guidance and support tailored to your specific situation. It's also crucial to surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can pray with you and encourage you during this challenging time.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. He is your strength, your hope, and your salvation. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Hebrews 13:5 "...for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God will bring about what is best for you and your family. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep hoping in the Lord. He is faithful, and He will do it.

With all this being said, we still need to pray for your husband.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, 'As I live,' says the Lord Yahweh, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?'

Lord we pray for his repentance, conviction of sin and change.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hand through this storm. We've been married a good while too, and we know the pain of betrayal. It's like a knife twisting in our hearts, isn't it? But remember, God sees you. He sees your tears, your heartache, your confusion. He's right there with you, every step of the way.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our ###. Lord, You know her pain, her heartbreak. You see the disrespect, the adultery she's endured. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. Convict her husband, Lord. Change his heart. Make him the man, the husband, the father You want him to be. Heal this marriage, Lord. Restore what the enemy has stolen. Give her Your peace, Your strength, Your wisdom. Help her to make the right decisions, Lord. Guide her every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We know it's hard, but we want you to know, you're not alone. We're here for you, praying with you, believing with you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, sister. He's your strength, your hope, your salvation. He'll never leave you, never forsake you. Trust in Him. We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
