Prayers for love

I am ### and grew up without love in my life and lived most of my adult life with people not capable of loving me . I am feeling lost and like god does not intend for me to ever find love . Please pray for me to find love

We hear the deep longing in your heart, and we want you to know that your pain is seen and your cry is heard. The ache of feeling unloved, especially after years of emptiness, is heavy to carry, but you are not forgotten. God does not withhold good things from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11), and love, true, godly love, is not out of His reach for you. We must first clarify, however, that the love you seek must align with His design. The world often distorts love into something fleeting or self-serving, but God’s love is pure, sacrificial, and rooted in His Word. If you are seeking a spouse, we pray for that specifically, a godly man or woman who will honor you, cherish you, and walk with you in faith. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not just a relationship, and it must be pursued with reverence for God’s standards.

We must also gently address any patterns that may have kept you in cycles of emotional neglect. The people you’ve been with, were they capable of love, or were they reflecting the brokenness of the world? Proverbs 13:20 warns, "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." If past relationships were marked by sin, unfaithfulness, or disregard for God’s ways, it is no wonder your heart feels weary. But do not lose hope. God can redeem even the deepest wounds and lead you to someone who will love you as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25).

We also want to emphasize that your worth is not defined by your relationship status. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and calls you His beloved child (1 John 3:1). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the greatest love of all, the love that sent Him to the cross for your sins. Without Him, we are all lost, but in Him, we find acceptance, purpose, and eternal love. Romans 5:8 declares, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." This is the foundation of all true love.

Now, let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ. Lord, You see the loneliness she has carried, the rejection she has endured, and the longing for love that feels unmet. We ask that You would heal her heart from past wounds and replace every lie with Your truth. Remind her daily that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, deeply loved by You, and never alone. Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly spouse into her life, a man who will love her as Christ loves the Church, who will lead with humility, and who will honor You in their marriage. Guard her heart from impatience, from settling for less than Your best, and from relationships that do not align with Your Word. Teach her to wait on You, trusting that Your timing is perfect. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray that she would do so today, finding in Him the love that satisfies every longing. Fill her with Your peace, Your hope, and the assurance that she is never forgotten. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen."

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek community within a Bible-believing church, where you can grow in faith and surround yourself with godly examples of love and marriage. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." You were not meant to walk this journey alone. As you draw nearer to God, He will draw nearer to you (James 4:8), and in His presence, you will find the love that never fails. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He is writing a story more beautiful than you can imagine.

I prayed with you to find love by people, to see yourself as God sees you and love Him, yourself and others ~ in Jesus' Name amen.

, it makes sense that after growing up without love and spending years around people who could not love you well, you would feel lost and wonder if God is holding love back from you. That is a heavy thing to carry, and we are sorry you have had to carry it so long.

We want you to know your longing is not a sign God has abandoned you. It is a sign you are still open enough to want something good. Human love has failed you badly, but God’s love is not like what you have received from people. He is not reluctant to draw near to you.

One practical step we would gently suggest is to let a pastor or mature Christian counselor help you work through the wounds from growing up unloved. Old messages that say you are not worth loving often need patient, safe help to heal. At the same time, staying connected to a caring church community can start to give you a different experience of being known and valued, even before any romantic relationship comes.

Father, thank You that You see and have never been indifferent to her. We ask You to heal the places where she learned that love must be earned or that she is not worth loving. Surround her with steady, faithful people who reflect Your care. Give her wisdom about whom to trust and courage to stay open when fear says to shut down. We ask that she would know Your love deeply, and we trust Your good plan for her life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have said that you grew up without love and have lived among those who could not love you. That is a heavy grief, for the human heart was made for love and it pines when love is withheld. But let me set before you a love that has never failed and never will fail. The Lord says to His people, I have loved you with an everlasting love, and I have called you by your name. You are not unknown to Him. He does not wait for you to become lovely before He loves you; He loved you before the foundation of the world and proved it by giving His Son to die for sinners. That is love indeed. His love is not like the fickle affections of men; it is unchangeable, infinite, boundless, eternal. When you feel lost and think God does not intend for you ever to find love, remember that the greatest love is not something you must go out and find, but something that has already sought you. The prodigal came to himself and returned to his father, and the father ran to meet him and kissed him. So the Lord receives every penitent sinner with kisses of love. You may say, I have not known this love, but you may know it now by believing on Jesus Christ. For the love of Christ passes knowledge, and He loves His own without measure, as if there were none but you for Him to love.

I will pray for you. I will pray that you may know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that the Holy Spirit may shed abroad in your heart the love of God, and that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. And I will pray that if it be His will, He may give you the earthly love of a godly spouse, a marriage covenant of one man and one woman for life, which is itself a picture of Christ and His church. But I would not have you set your heart on earthly love as if without it you could not be loved; for the love of God in Christ is better than life. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. May you find your all in Him, and may He grant you the desires of your heart as you delight in Him.

May the Lord pour out His unfailing love upon ###, filling every empty place in their heart, for *"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness"* (Jeremiah 31:3). May they know that they are deeply cherished by God, for *"you are precious and honored in my sight, and I love you"* (Isaiah 43:4). May the Lord surround ### with people who reflect His love, and may they find the love they long for, for *"no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless"* (Psalm 84:11). May they find their identity and worth in Christ alone, for *"nothing can separate us from the love of God"* (Romans 8:38-39). Open their eyes to see that You have not abandoned them, and lead them into the love You have prepared.

Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The wound you describe is real, and I will pray for you. But do not say God does not intend for you ever to find love. That is the voice of grief, not the voice of faith. The Lord who made you knows your hunger for love, since He made us for love. Yet I must tell you a hard and merciful truth: if you seek human affection only to heal the loneliness of your past, you will clutch at it and often choose poorly. There is a love that is not for God's sake, but for the sake of being loved, and such friendships are weak because they rest on your need rather than on the good of the other. Pray therefore first not that you may find love, but that you may be filled with the love of God. When that love rules the soul, it makes a person patient, slow to envy, and steady. It drives out the fear that says God has abandoned you.

Your desire for a spouse is not wicked. Marriage is honorable, and for most people it is the appointed path. But let your desire be sanctified. A godly marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and its strength comes from love and honor under the fear of God. I will pray that if it is His will, He give you such a love within His church. But I will not ask God to bless any union or affection that lies outside His commandments, because that would not be love but a snare. The love that God blesses is not merely a feeling; it is a bond that bears the image of Christ and His Church, and it must be entered with knowledge and discernment.

Do not measure His love by the failure of others. You say you lived among people not capable of loving you. People are broken. But Christ is not. Look at the cross. If He gave His Son for you, will He refuse you what is truly needful? He may delay, or He may give you a love you did not expect, or He may teach you to love the brethren as your family. The Church is meant to be the household of God for the lonely. If you withdraw only into your own sorrow, the body is rent in pieces. Love the brothers and sisters God has placed near you, even when they are imperfect. If love leaves us, the whole body is torn apart. So while you wait, do not wait idly. Serve, give, and be present. Love for God's sake reaches out to all men as brothers, and in reaching out you will find your own soul enlarged.

Therefore I pray this for you: that you first know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ. And if it pleases Him to give you a spouse, I ask Him to provide a godly one, that together you may fear Him and inherit His blessing. Do not say He does not intend love for you. Say rather, "Thy will be done," and let His will be your peace.
