Union with my love

Suirmar

Disciple of Prayer
I have been praying to God to unite me with my love. Mysterious things have been happening in my life. I asked God for a marriage, a happy relationship with her, but it feels like I am under heavy spiritual attack and the people closest to me trying to hijack my relationships and I cannot be myself anymore. Every day feels like a battle. I need my breakthrough, but every time I’m on the verge something seems to prevent it. Even my prayers have seemed to be intercepted by the enemy somehow. All I ask for is reconciliation and my relationship with her. But I get such heavy attacks and I can’t seem to break free. Thank you

We hear the deep longing in your heart and the weight of the spiritual battle you are enduring. First, we must address the foundation of your prayers, union with your "love" must be rooted in God’s design for marriage, as He alone ordains relationships for His glory. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." If this relationship is not aligned with His Word, if it involves sin such as fornication, adultery, or an unequally yoked union (2 Corinthians 6:14), then the enemy will indeed have legal ground to oppose it. We must examine whether this relationship honors God in purity, commitment, and biblical truth before proceeding.

The attacks you describe are real, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we do not fight against flesh and blood, your struggles with those closest to you may be influenced by spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The interception of your prayers suggests a need for spiritual warfare, but also for self-examination. James 4:3 warns, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." Are your desires for this relationship submitted to God’s will, or are they driven by your own longing? We must surrender every hope, dream, and relationship to Him, trusting that His plans are higher (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We also notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus, who is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Without Him, our prayers have no authority. John 14:13-14 says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Salvation comes through faith in Christ alone (Acts 4:12), and it is through His blood that we have access to the Father (Hebrews 10:19-20). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus for salvation, we urge you to do so now, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Only then can you stand firm against the enemy’s schemes.

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one who is enduring spiritual warfare and longing for reconciliation. Lord, first we ask for clarity, reveal whether this relationship is of You or if it is being used by the enemy to distract and destroy. If it is not Your will, give them the strength to surrender it to You. If it is Your will, break every chain of opposition, every scheme of the devil, and every hindrance standing in the way.

We rebuke the spirit of division, confusion, and delay in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue rising against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, surround them with Your angels for protection and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for godly wisdom in their relationships. If this person they long for is not their future spouse, prepare their heart for the one You have chosen, a believer who loves You first (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is the one, soften both of their hearts toward repentance, purity, and commitment. Let no root of bitterness or unforgiveness remain (Hebrews 12:15), and let Your love be the foundation of their union.

We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, emotions, and circumstances. Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness, and let Your truth set them free (John 8:32). Strengthen them in faith, Lord, and remind them that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14). May they find their identity and security in You alone, not in this relationship.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, the battle you are facing is not yours alone, God is with you. Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). Fast, pray, and seek godly counsel. If this relationship is meant to be, no force in heaven or hell can stop it, but it must be built on Christ, not just emotion.

If you are not yet married to this person, we must warn you against the sin of fornication. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." If you are physically intimate outside of marriage, repent and seek holiness, for the enemy will use sin to keep you bound. If this is not a believer, do not be unequally yoked, marriage is a sacred covenant, and God’s Word is clear on this.

Lastly, remember that your breakthrough may not come in the way you expect. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on the relationship. He is your victory.

We hear you. It is exhausting to feel like you're constantly battling just to reach something good, and even more disorienting when the very act of praying feels jammed or stolen. That sense of being blocked right when you're on the verge of a breakthrough can leave a person bone-weary and isolated. You are not foolish for naming this as a spiritual fight, and you are certainly not alone in it.

When the noise gets this loud, we have found it helps to narrow the focus for a season. Instead of pressing with all your energy toward the reconciliation itself, consider stepping back to examine your own heart and your own spiritual health first. Find one or two mature, grounded believers you can trust, people who will pray with you out loud and in person, not just from a distance. Describe exactly what is happening and ask them to pray specifically over your mind and your prayers, asking Christ to silence whatever is intercepting or confusing you. Often these battles thrive in isolation, and simply bringing them into the open with a trusted brother or sister can break their power.

We also want to gently encourage you to care for your whole self right now. Prolonged spiritual stress affects the body and the mind, and if you are losing sleep, unable to concentrate, or feeling unlike yourself, it is wise to speak with a medical doctor or a wise Christian counselor. This is not a lack of faith; it is good stewardship.

Let us pray for you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift our friend to you right now. You see the invisible battle raging around him, and you know exactly what is intercepting his peace and his prayers. In your name we command anything that is not of you to be silent and to release its hold. Give our brother clear-headed discernment so he can recognize what is from you and what is a distraction. Surround him with a few trusted believers who will stand with him and pray him through this season. Grant him rest and a tangible sense of your presence tonight. We ask for your will to be done in this relationship and for your peace to guard his heart and mind, no matter what comes. Amen.

Cease to imagine that your Heavenly Father has grown deaf, or that some demonic power can pluck your prayers from the incense altar before the Throne. That is a dark suggestion of the Evil One, and I charge you to spurn it with all your might. The hindrance you feel does not lie in the enemy’s ability to barricade the Mercy Seat. It lies in the heart that approaches it. Are you come in the name of Jesus Christ, the one Mediator, pleading His blood and righteousness alone? Or is your suit pressed with a carnal vehemence, as though this woman were your chief good and God merely a means to secure her? I tremble to ask it, but search yourself. That which we make an idol, God often dashes to pieces, or at least allows us to limp toward it, as Jacob limped at Peniel, that we might know the Lord Himself is the only true portion.

You cry for reconciliation and relationship with her, but have you laid hold of the reconciliation that is in Christ Jesus? The God of Peace has, on His part, prepared everything necessary for a perfect peace between your soul and Himself. Has that marriage been cemented? For the spiritual union with Christ is the only ground where earthly affections may safely bloom. If your relationship with the world, your service of your own desires, or your ordinary pastimes would be accounted shame in the light of marriage to Christ, then it is no wonder your prayers are hindered. You say you feel you cannot be yourself, I tell you this is mercy. That self must die. Your relationships, your very prayers, need to be plunged into the humility of Peter, who saw the Lord and cried, “I am a sinful man,” yet in that very confession drew nearer.

The enemy may roar, and blasphemous thoughts may buzz about your mind like a hive of wasps when you kneel to pray. I do not deny it. Often the fiercest assaults come at the Mercy Seat. But that Satanic hindrance should cheer you, it proves you are pressing toward a prize he fears you will take. Therefore go on. Hindrance or no hindrance, in the path of duty as the Holy Spirit enables you, resist the devil and make him flee. Yet remember, unanswered prayer is often an admonition against sin harbored, or a chastisement for making our own fancy the substance of our plea instead of pleading the promises. Lay hold upon some covenant word and spread your case before the Almighty with all the humble arguments you can muster. Intercessory prayer for her soul, for your own sanctification, for God’s will to be done, this is the sweetest prayer God ever hears. But if you merely demand your own will, though the sun rise tomorrow, you will go limping. The Lord hears all who seek reconciliation; fix your eye there first, and trust Him for the rest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of heavy spiritual attack, of prayers seeming intercepted, and of a battle every day. This should not surprise you, for the devil assaults most fiercely when he sees a soul striving for godly things. Yet you must examine yourself: are you truly seeking God's will, or merely demanding that He grant your desire? You ask for union with this woman, for reconciliation and a happy relationship. But what if God, in His wisdom, sees that this union would not serve your salvation or hers? The attacks you feel may not be solely from the enemy; they may be the merciful hand of God blocking a path that leads to destruction.

You say you cannot be yourself and that those closest to you try to hijack your relationships. Consider this: being alone makes you an easy target. The enemy seized upon the woman in the garden when she was apart from her husband. Flock together with the faithful; do not isolate yourself in your longing. When husband and wife and household are knit together in piety, the whole is strong. But if your mind is consumed with this one thing, you are wandering in a wilderness, giving the tempter a handle.

Above all, I bid you watch your tongue and your heart. Fresh from reviling and insult, do you dare to pray? From the bed of wrath and resentment, do you call on that awful Name? If you are angry at those who oppose you, if you harbor bitterness, you sever what God would unite. First cleanse yourself. Seek peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

You long for marriage, and marriage is honorable, the bed undefiled. It is not the hindrance; it is a pure state. But if you pursue it with a disordered will, if you make an idol of this woman, then even a good thing becomes a snare. Use marriage with moderation, and you shall be first in the kingdom. But remember: marriage itself does not give holiness; it preserves the holiness that comes from faith, keeping you from fornication. If you are not yet married, remain pure. If you are married, do not commit adultery even in your heart.

Do not trust in your own strength. You say your prayers are intercepted. How then do you pray? Do you pray alone, in the darkness of your own thoughts? The prayer of the Church is a great weapon. Paul asked for the prayers of the faithful, though he was Paul. Peter was delivered by the earnest prayer of the Church. You think you have no need of others? That is why you need them. Humble yourself and seek the intercession of the saints, those alive in Christ, and the whole body of believers.

But do not think that prayer is a magic charm. Christ prayed not because He needed to, but to teach us. He said, “I thank Thee that Thou hast heard Me,” and “I knew that Thou hearest Me always.” His will and the Father’s are one. So you must pray not to bend God to your will, but to align your will with His. If you seek first the kingdom of God, all these things will be added. But if you strive and wrestle only for your own desire, you may find that the breakthrough you seek is not what you imagine.

Rise each morning and meditate on these things. Make God propitious by prayer and supplication. Go forth into the battle with that armor, and you will laugh the enemy to scorn. The day is full of tempests and rocks; prayer is your favorable wind. Do not neglect it, but let it be continual. And if you are hindered, do not blame God or the enemy alone. Examine your life. Are you following every good work, as a widow seeking the Lord without distraction? That is the true calling of every soul, whether married or unmarried: to attend upon the Lord.

I do not say that your longing is evil, but I charge you: let it be according to godliness. If this woman is to be your wife, then pursue her in holiness, with the counsel of the Church, and with patience. But if God in His providence closes the door, do not kick against the goads. The enemy may whisper that God has abandoned you, but that is a lie. He is teaching you to trust not in the gift but in the Giver. Be at peace, and let the harmony of a well-ordered soul be restored, for where peace and holiness rule, there the enemy cannot find a foothold.

The battle you are in is real, and I can hear the weariness in your words. Things that should be hopeful feel blocked, and it seems as if every movement toward peace is met with a fresh wave of opposition. When prayers feel intercepted and the struggle never lets up, it helps to remember where the real victory is won. Jesus drew his strength from prayer, he would often slip away alone to pray. If the Son of God saw that as essential, how much more do we need it? The decisive victories are accomplished in prayer, not on the battlefield. You can do more for the situation after you have prayed, but until you have prayed, your efforts are blunt. Through prayer you bind the strong man, and then the rest becomes taking what has already been won.

Be careful not to find warmth at the enemy’s fire. Peter fell hard that night because he stopped praying, trusted in his own courage, and drifted toward a place of false comfort. The enemy cannot snatch you from the Lord’s hand, but he can wear you down until you seek relief where it cannot truly be found. Stay close, stick near to Jesus, and refuse to let discouragement pull you into a place where your guard drops. When the attacks intensify, that is the signal to press deeper into prayer, not retreat from it. Fasting, when combined with prayer, has an aligning effect that quiets the noise and sharpens spiritual focus.

Underneath your longing for this relationship, there is a deeper need: a life-changing, vital connection with God himself. When the vertical axis of loving him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength is secure, the horizontal plane of human relationships finds its proper balance. That does not mean your desire for reconciliation is unimportant, God cares about it, but he wants your affections anchored in him first. The enemy will use anything, even good desires, to become an obsession that crowds out simple trust. Let your prayers center more on drawing near to the Lord himself than on a specific outcome, and watch how the weight shifts. Feed your spirit with the Word alongside prayer; both are necessary, and a starving spirit cannot stand firm no matter how sincere the intent.

Do not accept the lie that your prayers are not getting through. The authority of Jesus over every demonic power has not changed, and nothing can intercept a heart that clings to him. The enemy’s purposes are always destructive, but he has already been disarmed. So keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. Refuse to formalize your desperation into a rigid demand or a religious formula; instead, stretch out your hand toward the Lord even when obedience feels impossible. He meets us in that impossible place and brings life.
