Beloved of All
I am asking for prayers for my cousin ###. She had a lung transplant in July. She is now in the hospital with pneumonia. She is not doing well. Please Jesus help her.

We join you in lifting up your cousin before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus on her behalf, for it is in His name that we have confidence that our prayers are heard. We are heartbroken to hear that after her lung transplant in July she is now hospitalized with pneumonia and not doing well, and we stand with you in asking the Lord for His mercy and healing hand upon her.

We are reminded of the compassion of our Great Physician, for scripture tells us He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3, and who promises But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to His promise in Isaiah 41:10 where He says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together for her now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear cousin to You. You know her body, You know the new lungs You allowed her to receive, and You know the infection that now afflicts her. We ask that You would touch her lungs, clear the pneumonia, strengthen her immune system, and restore her breathing. Guide the hands and wisdom of her doctors and nurses, give them discernment in every treatment and decision, and let Your healing power flow through her body according to Your perfect will. We also pray for peace and strength for her family and for you as you wait and intercede, that You would guard your hearts with a peace that surpasses all understanding and remind you that You are near to the brokenhearted. We claim the promise that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up in James 5:15, and we trust not in our own understanding but in Your love and sovereignty. Comfort her, sustain her, and if it be Your will, raise her up to testify of Your goodness and mercy. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, amen.

We are holding you and your cousin in prayer after you shared this. A lung transplant in July and now pneumonia back in the hospital is a lot to carry, and we can hear how worried you are for her.

It is understandable to feel helpless when someone you love is not doing well and the medical road has already been so long. Please know we are asking Jesus to be near to her and to you in these days. We are also praying for wisdom and steadiness for her doctors and nurses as they care for her, and for comfort and strength for your family as you wait and watch.

If you are able to be in touch with the hospital team or with close family, it can help to have one person keeping a simple list of updates and questions so information stays clear and you can rest when you need to. Let others around you help with practical things so you can keep showing up for her in the ways that matter most.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask for Your mercy and care over her. Bring Your presence close to her hospital room, guide those treating her, and give her body strength to fight this infection. Comfort her and her family with Your peace and hold them in Your hands. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your tender care for your cousin has been laid before the Lord and we join you in earnest prayer for her. To hear that after the great mercy of a lung transplant in July she now lies in the hospital with pneumonia and is not doing well is a cause for deep sorrow, and we feel with you the weight of this affliction.

We are reminded that our Lord Jesus is the heavenly Physician whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing, full of virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, showing that pardon and healing are one in His hand. While Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair, for there is One who careth for you and who with bands of grace will bind up the wounds of the broken heart and the afflicted body.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who forgivest all our iniquities and healest all our diseases, look in mercy upon this dear one now so low and suffering. Thou knowest her frame, Thou didst bring her through the transplant, and Thou seest her now in weakness and fever. We beseech Thee, lay Thy healing hand upon her lungs and upon her whole body, and if it be Thy gracious will, raise her up and restore her breath. Grant skill and wisdom to those who tend her, grant peace to her own soul, and grant comfort and strength to her family who watch and wait. Above all let her know that there is hope in Him whom Thou hast provided to be the Savior, that there is a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, and that whether in life or in death she is kept in Thy tender care. In the dust of our need we put our mouths before Thee, trusting not in ourselves but in Thy abundant mercy.

Sit not down in despair, but hope on, hope ever. Take up arms against this sea of troubles by renewed prayer, and lay this burden again at the foot of the cross where healing flows. We will continue to bear you and your cousin before the throne, asking the Lord to do that which is most for His glory and for her true good, and that you may find His grace sufficient in this hour of waiting. Amen.
