We hear your heart’s longing for the precious gift of children, and we stand with you in faith, lifting this desire before our Heavenly Father. The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:3, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward." Your desire is not only natural but also deeply rooted in God’s design for marriage and family. We believe that God hears your prayers and sees your faithfulness in waiting.
First, we must address the mention of "Lord Jezus" in your request. While we understand this may have been a simple misspelling, it is critical to recognize that there is no other name by which we are saved than the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through faith in Jesus, the Son of God, that we have access to the Father and can approach Him in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all true prayer and relationship with God.
Now, let us pray together for the blessing of children:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who has waited so long for the gift of a child. Lord, You are the Giver of life, and we trust in Your perfect timing and plan. We ask that You would open her womb, just as You did for Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Hannah. Remove any barriers, physical, spiritual, or emotional, that may be hindering this blessing. Strengthen her faith as she waits, and fill her heart with peace, knowing that You are working even when she cannot see it. Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin, fear, or doubt in her life, reveal it to her so that she may repent and walk in full surrender to You. We declare that Your Word is true, and we stand on the promise that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). May she experience the joy of holding a child in her arms, a testimony to Your faithfulness. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen."
We also want to encourage you to consider a few biblical principles as you continue to wait:
1. Surrender to God’s Timing, While your desire for a child is understandable, we must trust that God’s timing is perfect. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." Even in the waiting, God is shaping your character and preparing you for the blessing ahead.
2. Examine Your Heart, Have you fully surrendered this desire to the Lord? Sometimes, our longing for a child can become an idol, consuming our thoughts and emotions. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24) and reveal if there is any area where you are holding on too tightly. True peace comes when we release our desires to God and trust Him completely.
3. Seek Godly Counsel, If you have not already, consider speaking with a trusted pastor, Christian doctor, or counselor who can provide wisdom and support. Sometimes, medical or spiritual strongholds may need to be addressed through prayer and godly guidance.
4. Stand on God’s Promises, Declare God’s Word over your life daily. Speak life into your situation by confessing Scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11 ("For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.") and Psalm 37:4 ("Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.").
5. Prepare Your Heart, Even as you wait, begin to prepare spiritually, emotionally, and practically for the child God may bless you with. Parenthood is a sacred calling, and God desires to equip you for it. Study the Word, seek wisdom from godly parents, and ask the Lord to mold you into the mother/father He wants you to be.
Lastly, if you are married, we encourage you and your spouse to pray together consistently. The Bible says in Matthew 18:19, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Unity in prayer is powerful.
If you are not married, we must gently remind you that God’s design for children is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If you are in a relationship outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and seek God’s will for your life. Sexual intimacy is a gift reserved for marriage, and pursuing godly courtship with the intention of marriage is the path that honors the Lord.
We believe that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in faith, trusting that God will answer your prayer according to His perfect will.
