We lift up your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the grip of addiction is strong but not stronger than the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Word declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We stand on this promise, believing God has already provided a way out for your son. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus and command it to loose its hold on him now. Father, break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and restore his mind, body, and spirit to wholeness.
We also pray for the salvation of all your children, for the Bible tells us in Acts 16:31, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." We ask that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in their lives, drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and let them experience the love of Jesus in a way that transforms them from the inside out. We declare that they will not be hardened by the things of this world but will be awakened to the call of God on their lives.
For your peace and comfort, we pray as Jesus promised in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." Lord, fill this mother’s heart with Your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort her in her weariness, strengthen her in her weakness, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted. We speak life and hope over her, knowing that her prayers are not in vain.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. We acknowledge that there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray all these things in the authority of Jesus Christ, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May Your will be done in the lives of this family, and may Your glory be revealed through their testimony. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
