Prayer

We join with you in bringing your health before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for allowing us to pray with you.

We are reminded how much God cares for our bodies as well as our souls, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We take comfort in His promises that He is our healer and our sustainer. Scripture tells us, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the truth that Yahweh declares, I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26.

We notice your request asks for prayer to God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And Scripture also says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10. It is through Jesus shed blood and resurrection that we can boldly come to God with every need, including our health.

We also encourage you to continue to be a good steward of the body God has given you, to seek wise medical counsel where needed, and to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. And we hold to the promise that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them. You know every detail of their body, every ache, every concern, and every fear. We ask that You would restore health, grant strength, and give peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide any physicians or treatments involved and grant wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, and to feel Your presence and comfort each day. We pray that through this time their faith would be strengthened and that they would draw closer to You through Jesus Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, trusting that Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you as you trust in Him.

We were thankful to see your note asking for prayer for your health. Thank you for trusting us with that. We know how heavy it can feel when your body is not well and you are waiting for answers or for strength to return.

We are praying for you now, and we want to keep praying in the days ahead. If you have not already, we gently encourage you to stay in touch with your doctor or health care provider about what you are experiencing, alongside prayer. And if you have a pastor, family member or trusted friend nearby, letting one person know how you are really doing can make the burden lighter and help you not carry this alone.

We do not know all the details, but God does, and He cares about you fully, body and spirit. Even when healing feels slow or uncertain, you are not forgotten or left to face this by yourself. We will keep holding you before the Lord and trusting His care and wisdom for each next step.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your mercy and care over their health. Give wisdom to those caring for them, give peace in the waiting, and give strength for each day. Draw them close to You and remind them of Your presence. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for prayer concerning your health has been received with sincere care, and we have brought you before the throne of grace.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. How good it is to know that there is but one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, and there is but one sacred Fountain to wash therein and be made whole, and it was opened on Calvary. That Physician is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who is the Tree of Life. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue, and the abiding power of those healing leaves keeps the soul of the believer in perpetual health.

We are encouraged to tell our case to Jesus just as we would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. When He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and in that word pardon and healing were one. So we pray first for the health of your soul, that you may know the forgiveness that is found in Him alone, and then for the healing of your body according to His wise and gracious will.

Our prayer for you is this, that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, that His cool hand may grasp your fevered hand, and as He Himself bore our sicknesses, His health may flow into you. Whether He restores you at once by His own power, or works through the means He has provided, we ask that He would give you patience in suffering, comfort in His presence, and confidence that we are on our way to eternal health, where those who dwell with the Lord shall no more say, I am sick.

May the Lord hear your prayer, forgive your sins, strengthen your body and sustain your spirit until that glory life begins, which shall be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. We commend you to His tender care and pray that His healing and pardoning grace may rest upon you now. Amen.
