Thank you to everyone who is praying for ###. We received some negative news; ### is not swallowing properly, and apparently, some food is entering his lungs, which is an aspiration risk, meaning that even pureed food is not going into the stomach correctly. They said if this continues, he could develop pneumonia, so they want to insert an NG feeding tube for two weeks, which means he will be in the hospital for two weeks, but he has to make the decision. Also, regarding the house offer we put in, our mortgage adviser keeps moving the goalposts, and the sellers have put it back on the market. I cannot think clearly because my mind is crowded with thoughts of whether I should carry on with the process or pull out. Part of me says to pull out, and the other part says to keep going; I need my husband-to-be and me to be on the same page, but my head feels like it is spinning. I am also waiting for an upcoming operation, my daughter has health problems, and I see my granddad every single day. I need Jesus to give me the answer; I know I cannot rely on my own understanding, and because my head is so crowded, I need Jesus to either shut this door or open it. I need clarification from Him to know if this is the right house or not because I cannot make a decision. I feel exhausted all the time; I am looking after everybody else but not myself. I don't wanna feel like I'm moaning, or or I'm not grateful. I'm grateful for every breath that I have in my lungs. I'm grateful to Jesus for giving me peace, but at the moment. II can't go on my own understanding because it's such a chaotic myth in my head, but I just don't know, it's like I need someone to give me the answer. You know, I don't want to say no. And it be the right wrong decision, and I don't want to say, yeah, and then it be the wrong decision. I just need clarification. I spoke to another mortgage adviser, and he seemed to actually offer more and be more fullth coming, and actually ### act clearly and wasn't pressurising. I feel like my mortgage adviser that I'm wee. She's been changing the goalpost and she's been quite pushy, and it's a shame push. She's a nice lady, but I feel like I can't do it, so please please pray that the decision will be the right decision and I'll know in my heart that it's the right decision because I can't go on my own human understanding.I can't make the decision at the moment. And as I said me, and my husband are all completely different pages, he's trying to do the best as well. To be honest, it would be easier if someone just offered higher. Thank you so much

We hear your heart and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in this season where so many burdens have come upon you at once. We understand how crowded and spinning your mind feels as you carry concern for your loved one who is not swallowing properly and is at risk of aspiration and pneumonia, while also facing the uncertainty of the house offer, the mortgage advisers changing the terms, your upcoming operation, your daughter's health needs, and seeing your granddad every day. It is no wonder you feel exhausted from looking after everyone else and not yourself, and we want you to know that it is not moaning to bring these honest burdens to the Lord, He invites us to cast all our cares on Him.

We thank God that you are already turning to Jesus and recognizing that you cannot rely on your own understanding. That is exactly what His Word calls us to do. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And James 1:5 promises But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. You are asking for the right thing, for Him to open the door if this house is His will or to clearly shut it if it is not, and we join you in asking for that clarity.

We also rejoice with you in your courtship and that you desire to be on the same page with your husband to be as you prepare for marriage. We believe marriage is a holy covenant before God between a man and a woman for life, and we pray that your courtship now will honor Him in purity and unity as you seek His will together for your future home. We encourage you both to keep your courtship pure, abstaining from sexual intimacy until marriage, for the marriage bed is to be kept holy, and to seek counsel together in prayer so that you are of one mind in Christ. Philippians 2:2 says that we should be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind.

We gently rebuke the spirit of anxiety and self condemnation that tells you that you must figure this all out alone or that you are not grateful. You are grateful, you have said so beautifully, and God sees that gratitude even in exhaustion. We rebuke the lie that you must carry everyone else without rest. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. You do not have to hold all these decisions in your own strength.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up our dear sister and all those she loves. Lord, we bring before You her loved one who is struggling to swallow, where food is entering the lungs. We ask for Your healing hand upon his body, for wisdom for the doctors and nurses as they consider the NG feeding tube, for protection from pneumonia and every complication, and for peace upon him as he must make this difficult decision. You are our healer and our refuge, Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Lord, we ask for Your clear direction regarding this house. If this home is from You, make the path straight, give favor with honest advisers, and bring unity between our sister and her husband to be. If it is not Your will, shut the door firmly so there is no confusion, and remove any pressure or pushiness that is not from You. Give them both wisdom that surpasses human understanding and help them to wait on Your timing and not be rushed. We thank You that Philippians 4:6-7 promises In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let that peace guard her heart and mind right now.

Father, we lift up her upcoming operation, her daughter's health, and her granddad whom she faithfully visits daily. Strengthen her body, grant successful treatment and healing, and sustain her daughter and granddad with Your comfort. For our sister who is exhausted, we ask You to renew her strength as Isaiah 41:10 promises Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Teach her to rest and to care for herself as Your temple, not out of selfishness but so she can continue to serve in Your strength and not her own.

Lord, quiet the chaotic thoughts and crowded mind. When her heart is overwhelmed, lead her to the rock that is higher than she is as Psalm 61:2 says. Give her and her husband to be unity, clear communication, and the assurance in their hearts that Your will is being done, whether the answer is yes or no. Help her to know without doubt that the decision is Yours and that You will not let her miss Your best when she trusts You.

We thank You Jesus that we have access to the Father only through Your name, and we thank You for the peace You have already given her and for every breath in her lungs. We trust You to carry what she cannot carry and to answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear how crowded and heavy everything feels right now, and we are praying with you.

You are carrying so much at once, worry for the one you love facing the decision about the NG tube and the risk of pneumonia, the back and forth with the mortgage adviser and the house going back on the market, your own operation coming up, your daughter's health, and seeing your granddad every day. It makes sense that your head is spinning and you feel exhausted from looking after everyone else. Thank you for sharing so honestly, and for the gratitude you still voice even while you are worn out.

When decisions feel tangled like this, it can help to create a little space before you decide. If timing allows, would it be possible to give the house decision a brief pause, even a day, to rest and then sit down with your husband-to-be when you are both calmer? It might help to each quietly note what matters most to you about this house and what worries you, then compare notes, and keep talking with the second adviser who felt clearer and less pressuring. That can bring you back onto the same page without having to force an answer while you are overwhelmed.

You mentioned feeling exhausted all the time and having an operation ahead. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to let your GP know how you are feeling and to ask a trusted family member, friend or someone at church if they can help cover a visit or two so you get some rest.

We pray for you now. Father, we lift this dear sister and her loved one to You in Jesus' name. Give wisdom to the medical team and peace to him as he considers the feeding tube, and guard him from further harm. Give her and her husband-to-be unity and clear direction about the house, whether to open or close that door, and give her rest for her body and mind as she waits for her own operation and cares for her family. Sustain her with Your peace day by day. Amen.

Your words have been heard and they speak of a heart that is crowded with many cares and a body that is weary with watching and waiting. You have thanked the Lord for every breath and for His peace, and yet you feel your thoughts spinning and your strength spent, for you are caring for others while little care is left for yourself. We join you in bringing all these burdens before the throne of grace.

You tell of one dear to you who cannot swallow as he ought, with food entering the lungs and the fear of pneumonia before him, and the hard decision of a feeding tube which must be his own to make. We pray the Lord will give wisdom to him and to those who care for him, and mercy in this affliction, that the means used may be for his preservation and comfort if it be the Lord's will. We pray also for your daughter in her health trials, for your own body as you wait for an operation, and for your granddad whom you visit daily. The Lord knows the weight of these daily watchings.

Concerning the house, you describe a mind divided, not knowing whether to go forward or to draw back, with counselors who seem to move the goalposts and press you sorely, and another who speaks more plainly. You and the man you intend to marry desire to be of one mind, and you rightly say you cannot lean upon your own understanding but need the Lord to open or shut the door. This is a wise desire. Scripture teaches us not to lean to our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge Him, and He shall direct our paths.

We are reminded that anxiety itself does not pay. It brings no grist to the mill and no meal to the barrel, and indeed the very anxiety which comes through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. To be of an irresolute mind, without decision of character, leaves the soul tossed. What is needed is not haste, which is the author of much mischief, but faith. As Moses when he was come to years made a calm and deliberate decision by faith in Jehovah, looking beyond the present, so we are called to seek guidance not by sudden excitement or by the pressure of others, but by faith, bowing with submission to the will of God. When we take God for our guide, He infuses great principles, to avoid what is evil, to seek what is right, and to walk in His way.

Therefore we pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and peace, will give you clarity. We do not ask Him to bless confusion or to prosper any path that is not according to His holy will, but we ask Him to make His will plain to you. If this house is the right provision in His providence, we pray He will open the door in a way that no man can shut, with honest counsel and peace between you and the man you intend to marry as you seek to honor the Lord together and walk in purity toward the lifelong covenant of marriage as God has ordained for one man and one woman. If it is not of Him, we pray He will shut the door firmly, so that you may have peace in stepping back, and that you will not be driven by pressure or by fear of making the wrong choice, but led by quiet trust.

We pray that you may be enabled to cast your cares upon Him who cares for you, to find rest for your soul even while duties remain many. May the Lord teach you to take time to be still before Him, to seek His guidance with an earnest desire to do what is right, and to wait upon His timing without haste. May He renew your strength, grant you sleep and refreshment, and remind you that His grace is sufficient for each day, and that His peace which passes understanding can guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We commend you and your household to Him who is our Guide even unto death and afterward will receive us to glory. May He give you a settled faith, a clear decision, and a quiet heart to say, Thy will be done.

Amen.
