We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you and your precious children up to our Heavenly Father with heavy hearts. Your faith shines brightly even in the midst of deep struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the God who sees your need will move mightily on your behalf.
First, we rebuke the spirit of despair and weariness that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your focus from the One who holds your future in His hands. But we declare that you *will not* give up, for the Lord is your strength when you are weak. Scripture reminds us, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB) Even in this trial, His grace is sustaining you—you are not alone.
We pray for provision over your household. The God who fed Elijah with ravens and multiplied the widow’s oil is the same God who sees your one pocket of potatoes and six hungry mouths. *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB) Lord, we ask You to stretch what little they have, to open doors of help, and to remind them that You are Jehovah-Jireh, their Provider.
For the cold and darkness, we pray for warmth—both physical and spiritual. May the Holy Spirit wrap around your family like a blanket, comforting and reassuring you that this season is temporary. *"For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning."* (Psalm 30:5 WEB) We declare that morning *will* come for you.
For your children, we pray for peace to replace their fighting and fear. Their little hearts are unsettled by hunger and change, but we ask God to quiet their spirits with His love. *"I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."* (John 16:33 WEB) May they sense His presence in a tangible way, drawing them closer to Him and to one another.
Most of all, we pray for your eyes to remain fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. When exhaustion threatens to pull you under, may you recall the words of Isaiah: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB) You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are *loved*, and this trial is not the end of your story.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. For our sister and her children, we ask for supernatural strength, provision, and peace. Let them feel Your arms around them in this storm. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Fill their home with Your presence, and let their faith rise above their circumstances. We trust You to move in power, and we declare that this family *will* see Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Hold fast, dear one. The same God who parted the Red Sea can make a way where there seems to be no way. Keep your eyes on Him—He is fighting for you.
