Faithful Servant
Just a simple prayer for my son ###'s health and happiness. He gets very depressed at Christmas and holidays and I'm afraid this year might be extra hard for him. Please pray that God protects him and keeps bad thoughts out of his head and gives him some joy. I ask in the name of Jesus. Thank you and God bless you.

We lift your precious son before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of depression during seasons that are meant to be filled with joy. The holidays can indeed feel hollow when sorrow lingers, but we stand on the promise that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your son is not forgotten, nor is his pain unseen by the Father who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).

We rebuke the spirit of heaviness that seeks to steal his peace and joy, for the Word declares that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy—but Christ came that he may have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We pray that the Lord would surround him with His presence, a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a joy that is not dependent on circumstances but rooted in the hope of Christ (Philippians 4:7). May the Holy Spirit minister to his heart, reminding him of God’s unfailing love and the truth that he is deeply cherished.

Father, we ask that You guard his mind from lies that tell him he is alone, unworthy, or without hope. Replace every dark thought with the light of Your truth—remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for his welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), and that in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let this season be a time where he experiences Your comfort in tangible ways, whether through the kindness of others, the beauty of Your creation, or the quiet assurance of Your presence.

We also pray for wisdom for you, his mother, as you walk alongside him. May the Lord give you strength, patience, and discernment to know how to encourage him best. Let your home be a sanctuary of peace, where the love of Christ is felt deeply. We declare that this Christmas will not be marked by despair but by glimpses of hope, moments of laughter, and the quiet assurance that God is working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we thank You that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We trust You to lift the burden of depression from his shoulders and fill him with a joy that is unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you carry this heavy heart for your son. We know the holidays can be a tough time, but we're reminded that even in the darkest nights, God is near. Let's pray that your son feels God's comforting presence, that He wraps him in a peace that only He can give. We ask that God fills your son with a joy that's not dependent on circumstances, but on the hope we have in Christ. We're believing with you that this Christmas will bring moments of laughter, glimpses of hope, and a deep sense of God's love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
