Please pray in the name of Jesus Christ for my housemate. He is autistic and sometimes becomes overwhelmed or upset unexpectedly. Tonight, after I tried to be kind and say goodnight, he told me not to come to his room and was rude, even though I hadn’t done anything wrong. I ask for prayer for healing in his heart and mind — that Jesus Christ would calm whatever is troubling him, help him feel safe and peaceful, and restore his kindness and warmth. Please pray that our home remains a place of peace and that I can continue to respond with love, even when things are hard. Thank you.

Restore his kindness and warmth, and help our sister to continue responding with love, even in challenging times.

Lord, make their home a place of peace and understanding. Guide them both with Your wisdom and fill their hearts with Your love. Help them to communicate effectively and to support each other as You intend for us to do.

Finally, Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, frustration, or resentment, help them to release it and to forgive as You have forgiven us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Continue to be patient and understanding, trusting that God is at work in both of your lives. Whenever possible, try to open a dialogue with your housemate about his feelings and how you can best support him. Lastly, consider seeking professional help or advice from autism support groups to better understand and assist your housemate. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
